I understand that for everyone abroad overseas this start time makes sense, and that tennis is about as popular as NHL in the States, but geez.....

What an unbelievable match this will be and can't even watch it live unless you pull an all nighter, and not like you can watch the replay without a million scrolling bars on ESPN telling you who the winner was.

Why don't you go to bed at 8 tonight and get up at 3:45 am to watch it live? Order some Domino's this evening and eat the leftovers for breakfast when you get up.

Problem with that approach is, it's on tomorrow.

As an experienced tennisphile Lou, WTF are you thinking here? That they are gonna change the start time all of a sudden to cater to the States?

Honestly, ESPN has done a good job not spoiling it with the scroller. The other morning I was up early and watched Fed kill Del Potro. There wasn't even a tennis section on the bottom line. Either find a way to record it or suck it up and stay up.

8:30am in the UK for the Aussie night games, which is OK. The real toughies were the morning games over there, if they were late on court they started at 5am our time :-( I ended up watching the Fed-Berdych match to the end, and it was something like 7:30am

Yeah, Americans aren't into interesting sports. Just in your face ones. Tennis, soccer, are lost on American audiences.

If America cared, we'd win the time slate or at the very least have it more balanced.

I am in the same boat, I want to watch, but do I want to watch it enough to get up and then make tomorrow one loooong day. Great primer's getting ready for the Super Bowl. I am interested in the women's final just as much, too.

                          GL, Lou and everyone.
