I might have to disagree on this one. I know Isner is not the greatest on clay, but Haase can be a complete and total crap shot. He is also a really tall guy at 6'5 or taller, so with the two tall lanky guys playing today, I might have to go with the humungous serve of Isner. Haase really does not have a big serve at all, and on clay Isner should be able to rally a ton of points on the returns and hopefully get a good amount of break points to look at. The books think this one is gonna be close, that is why Isner is only -130. Tough call here, but I could never bet on Robin Haase, maybe ever unless its a Challanger match...

I agree Haase can be crap sometimes however he's working very hard vs top 20 players. Isner is actually closer to top 20. I've seen Haase play on clay this year, some of the matches he managed to impress me. Last one was vs Tsonga, I know he lost quite dramatically at tiebreaks but the way he played was impressive.

On the other hand John Isner does nothing but serve & volley. And he's not the best serve & volleyer around too. I predict his future career would be similar to Ivo Karlovic's, meaning shall not go anywhere. Clay slows down the ball, it's not easy to hit aces, requires more accuracy in finding those service box corners than pure ball speed. His ralleys are crap. Return the ball a few times and he'll smash the ball into the net.

Haase is a logical choice for me, not because what he is but because what his opponent is not. Haase took the first and down in the second, let's see what happens after the rain break.

Hope you guys captured Reister and Haase. I was wrong about Kovalik though.

Fingers crossed mate. Between Kohlschreiber and Brands, need to recover some of the money lost.

Wow, my prediction model miserably failed today. Everyboy besides Struff losing bitterly.

A few value plays here and there (not necessarily today's plays but here we go)
                  Pfizenmeier
v U. Radwanska, medium stake . Radwanska fades after each big win.
Larsson v Cirstea. Larsson is in better form.
Mladenovic v Davis and Begu v Soler-Espinosa are solid bets IMO. Begu has been absent due to shoulder injury for 2 months. Davis is.. well, she is Davis so she shall lose. Bartoli v Govortsova and Peng v Giorgi may go 3 sets and over.

Siding with Andujar-Alba v Youzhny as usual. I expect Reister to beat Delbonis, Mayer to beat Istomin and Vesely to take a set v Kohlschreiber (hence ruin asian handicap) but to be honest difficult to find underdogs with realistic fighting chance today.

Also be aware that Shvedova is injured (shoulder) and she'll test that shoulder today. Normally that should give Vandeweghe some edge however Vandeweghe is a below-par player. Keep an eye in-play as anything may happen in WTF tennis

                  best of luck to all

So now you're not only not considering the odds, but not posting them as well?

yeah... Kinda grew tired of the forum. Taking my business elsewhere, hence reduced quality of my posts recently. Consider this a parting gift.

I like informed, logical and calculated picks rather than scattershooting. Difficult to find those sifting through a zillion "gut feeling" or "let's fade a french" picks

Very good point (the "Let's Fade a French" thread had me ), but it would still be nice if you could please post the odds.

I agree with Larsson, Mladenovic, Andujar @ 3.25, 1.65, and evens respectively, at any rate.

                        Good luck with your picks!

hey Fox, hope you enjoyed your 54-week "break", lol...

i personally hate betting on anything involving "pizza face" barthel

her, and flipens are the absolute worst...bet against them, and they play like world champions...

bet on them, and you swear you've given them their worst imaginable attack of mentrual cramps

                            welcome back

If you find them too conservative, I believe Robredo will win, Ivanovic-Svitolina and Halep-Sharapova will go 3 sets (Halep will win the 1st), Murray beats Federer.

First 2 matches of the parlay seems like going over, no easy wins there

Couldn't care less if my tennis picks hold today, just made a small fortune by late goals in FC Kopenhagen-Midtjylland match

1 more goal @ Feyenoord and Legia Warsaw, 2 more @ Sparta Prague and can retire for the day.

                                BOL to all folks
