I don't bet on her games normally but considering her form and her opponent decided to take a chance.

Same goes for Friedsam. some players just can not play back to back tourneys, that fact explains their ranking perhaps.

Credit needs to go to Allertova. She came from a set and a break down to beat Lepchenko. She deserves credit for her win against Lisicki yesterday too (instead of bagging her like two posters have).

She has now won six matches on the trot including three qualifying matches to make the semis of Luxemberg. She looked extremely tired against Lepchenko, though. I feel she won't have much left in the tank.

oh and she is 60-5 on the season (granted mostly at ITF level).

Dolgopolov has been injured for some time, he's not been reliable recently either.

I'm still trying to pull the trigger on Pironkova vs Begu. I like Begu ML because Pironkova is not at the top of her form and Begu is one sticky bitch who keeps coming back but H2H scares me off.

I guess I jumped the gun saying Begu was being destroyed, when she cut down errors and Pironkova started to hit weak veteran tennis shots things turned around. she had a lot of help from Pironkova today

Verdasco was the logical choice. He had his chances but totally blew it. I had Tomic combined with Gulbis and Troicki and was not confident with any of them. It'll be a nice surprise if that parlay holds. That doesn't change my view of Tomic though: he's a pussey and I hate him
