I wouldn't be so sore if he lost to a decent player. he's losing to kohl-penetrating-schreiber. I've got him when he was a break down in the first, came back only to shit the bed in the tiebreak. now he's another break down , there's no way he's coming back from this. The Gnat beat Russell and Dodig and lost in 3 sets to Federer.

Not real sure how you can glean anything from "recent performance".

I watch hours of tennis every day. I have multiple screens at my office and follow the games when there are no clients/employees around. one match doesn't prove Kohlschreiber can go toe to toe with a top 10 player, unless his opponent allows him to do so. He's an absent-minded mediocre at best player who is inconsistent, unpredictible and unreliable. I've seen him throwing away 5 set points straight and lose the set, totally tank it 7-5 when he was 5-2 up.

the guy is a maniac. His stamina makes me tired
just watching him run around like the "gnat" he is (good name, ssvir)
he's getting older but still has no quit in him
guy is definition of overachiever.
