Well, according to tenniswarehouse Mancini said in an interview that Del Potro could play, but that the probability is not too big. To be honest, after these news, I'd rather take Acasuso for the match, playing Del Potro at this condition on a best of 5 is very risky.

I can't give you a recommendation on Del Potro-Ferrer. Betting on Del Potro is in this condition like betting on Blake. On the other hand, Ferrer is in horrendous shape. It basically depends on Del Potro's health.

Del Potro is now definitely out.

Acasuso at +200 against Ferrer anyone?

Some on Betfair forum seem convinced it's Acasuso vs Verdasco. Not sure if that's confirmed.

Either way, Spain price is falling, now -150.

          Yep, it's gonna be Verdasco.

I'm looking for the typical Verdasco melt down.

            Thanks, makes sense.

I took some Spain -145 at pinnies last night, just to profit now as it drops. Now near -200, wonder how far it goes.

Odds moved a lot to Verdasco's favor (bet365). I really don't know what people are thinking, backing up a guy that showed about 1000 times, why he'll never win a big tournament and nearly cost Spain the doubles victory...In front of booing home crowd...backing up Verdasco at -275 in such a big match is like flipping a coin with 20% vig.

Yeah, no way I'm backing Verdasco in a pressure cooker situation, especially after the doubles chokes.

Of course, Verdasco is a way better player on this surface, but Acasuso has a decent DC record and the crowd will be really vicious today.

Holy crap, the stadium is JUMPING. What a noise.

Wouldn't want to be Verdasco here.

Umpire going to have a nightmare containing them.

Edit: cashed in on Spain, 1.69 last night, 1.43 now. Can enjoy the match now :-)

Here's a thought: if Verdasco wins here, the final match is pointless. Nalbandian under-motivated isn't a pretty sight, and Lopez is playing well. +350 anyone?

There was something in the air that night
                        The stars were bright, fernando
They were shining there for you and me
                        For liberty, fernando
Though I never thought that we could lose
                        Theres no regret
If I had to do the same again
                        I would, my friend, fernando

Fernando trying his hardest to blow it :-))

I don't know what the rules are, but if it's allowed, Spain would most certainly let Granollers play the last match.

Verdasco serving like Bartoli, 7 double faults, most of them in critical situations. Not very surprising...

Monumental upset. Who woulda thought Verdasco/Acasuso would be the deciding match.

Quite the disgrace for Argentina. And Acasuso is a loser through and through. That's like giving the ball to Byung Yung Kim (spelling) in the World Series.

Anybody remember international basketball, believe it was Argentina vs. Spain. Tied with about 10 secs to go, Spain has the ball. Argentina coach decides to instruct his players to foul Spanish player so could get ball back... ??? wtf

One thinks one has seen it all until one sees the Arizona/UAB basketball game the other night. That is something that prolly won't happen in another 40 years, if ever.

Interesting, is this a new rule that the remaining matches won't get played?

Wtf did Acasuso do in the 5th set? Was he injured or something like that? He didn't win one single returning point...

I really thought that Verdasco was the bigger choker (at least the more well-known one), obviously Acasuso couldn't handle the pressure either.

Congrats to all Spain backers, Del Potro's injury was unfortunately the key to Argentina's loss.

I don't know much about College basketball, but was this the game, where Arizona fouled UAB players two times, when it was tied?

yes, indeed. not once, but twice. simply unbelievable.

but, then again, this was also the week when we had Donovan McNabb say, 'Well, I'd hate to see what happens in the Superbowl when the game ends in a tie.'

This guy makes $250,000 a week. It's like a doctor not knowing what a hospital is... ROFLMFAO

He had an injury timeout before that set started, looked like stomach muscles

Don't think he was that fit even before the weekend started though, there was some suggestion beforehand if the match went long he was toast.
