    funding account canada
i signed up with pinnacle and have a credit card from scotiabank. i tried funding my account with the credit card and it was denied because **** said they didn't allow it to be used for sports books.

anyone here have scotiabank and use it to fund an account? what's the best way to do it.

i did a google search and read that scotiabank doesn't allow moneybookers either? is this true? what's the best bank to use in canada for online betting. i'm ready to cancel my account with scotia and go somewhere else.

First off, Welcome to the SBR forum

Credit card type deposits are hit and miss no matter which book you choose. I have compiled a list of books that have a pretty high success rate, which you can find here sir.

Scotiabank refused to process anymore Moneybookers transactions for me back in April, so I just basically told them to F*** Off and moved my accounts to TDBank. I haven't had a problem since...

I would strongly recommend you do the same.....

                        CIBC lets me fund sportsbooks.

They did deny it once, but called me to see if I initiated the transaction.

I said it was my money, I wanted to use it for gambling.

They said OK, let everything go through now.

The other thing you can do is fund moneybookers.com with your ****, then any book will accept ****.

                          Cost you 1.8%.

thanks stumpage, i'll sign up with td. do you use moneybookers with TD or instadebit?

i looked into moneybookers, but they seem to have a $800 per 60 day limit, which is ridiculous.

I use Moneybookers.....Once you go through their security checks, I'm sure that Moneybookers will raise your limits. Nothing gargantuan, at least initially, but at the very least they'll raise the $800 cap, which I agree is quite ridiculous.....

Scotia seems to be the only bank in Canada that does this, but they do it regularly. I've seen a number of complaints on the board about them and them alone.

If you use a bank wire, you can put as much into a moneybookers account as you want (well, up to 25K in a three month period).

I agree Dwaechte.....Maybe some righteous and holy higher-up at Scotia held a series of workshops, designed to rid the nation of us gamblin' vermin.....
