    Sportbet Checks
Requested a check payout from Sportbet. I received it yesterday. It took about 2 weeks for me to get the check.

Before I requested the check, I specifically asked if the check would be cut from a UNITED STATES BANK. I was told yes.

After about 5 days processing time I asked them where the hell is the check. They said, oh here you go we have a DHL tracking number for you. I look up the tracking info and the check is coming from goddamn INDIA.

So I asked them again, is this check being cut from a UNITED STATES BANK?

    And they said YES.

I got the check yesterday and it is a CANADIAN check. I live in the US. My bank won't even take a Canadian check. I can't do shit with a ****ing Canadian check. Obviously this is not the first time I have had problems receiving a Canadian check from a book, which is why I asked about ten ****ing times ARE YOU SENDING ME A UNITED STATES CHECK before I requested a check payout.

So I called them today to tell them how ****ing retarded they are. They wanted me to fax in a copy of the check. I wait an hour, I hear nothing, I get no email, so I call them. They call me back in 10 minutes or so:

"Sir if you look at the check it says the amount of the check is payable in United States dollars"

So now I am waiting to hear back while the accounting department does their research with their payment processor, which means they are wasting more of my time while they determine that I am shit out of luck because they shit the bed and sent me a canadian check which I specifically told them I did not want repeatedly.

Of course what they should be doing is refunding me the $65 I paid for this joke of a ****ing "express courier" check service, and sending me a moneygram for the amount of the check

But of course they won't do that, because they're ****ing retarded asshats.

Thanks for your input. Obviously I have gone to various banks before with Canadian checks and they laughed at me. You are looking at a minimum 3 weeks processing time for a Canadian check.

This isn't the point. The point is they said I was getting a US check and I got a Canadian one.

      Thanks again though.

Dude, jesus christ. Read my post. I have dealt with Canadian checks before. They are worthless.

Minimum time to cash - 3 weeks.

No bank in my area can give me money for a Canadian check in less than 3 weeks.

          AND HERE'S THE KICKER

THEY TOLD ME I'D BE GETTING A USA BANK CHECK

AND I GOT A CANADIAN CHECK

          THAT IS THE ****ING POINT

I understand your point sir and my suggestion to you would be to wait the 3 weeks.

Oh okay, so you think it's totally cool that a B rated Sportsbook tells me I'm getting a US Bank check and I get a Canadian check.

I should just be happy with waiting 5 total weeks for a payment method that I actually paid $65 for.

              No.

I never said it was right sir. All I'm saying is that your options seem very limited at this time considering the current processing methods that Sportbet is currently using. Hopefully in the near future they will find a more U.S. friendly one.

They have Moneygram. I chose Check method because:

                  a) they told me it was a US BANK CHECK - ABOUT 10 TIMES
                  b) it was $65 fee per $2000 for a check instead of $60 fee per $1000 for Moneygram

The whole payment processor excuse crap isn't gonna fly. They either lied to me or ****ed up.

My friend is a rec bettor and was up just over a dime -- he requested a withdrawal on Monday via withdrawal, and picked it up on Tuesday with a $60 ** fee. No problem.

Yup, and I would have done the same thing, if I had 1k or less to cash out, or if they hadn't erroneously told me that their checks are CUT FROM A US BANK

Oh NOES. You mean you asked a complicated question to a generic CS representative who makes 2 pesos an hour, and.... got an incorrect response?

Obv it isn't right. But I'm not very surprised.

                        TIA.

I was told I was getting a US check by multiple CS agents, including the person who I have gathered is the head manager at sportbet. Via live chat, via phone, multiple agents all told me I was getting a US check.

Like I said, I asked about ten or so times. You know, just to be sure.

And I'm pretty sure "What country does the check come from" is not a "complicated question" by any stretch

I just got off the phone with a clerk (different book) that went something like this:

Me: Hi, can you tell me what my limits are on phone wagers (got cut online)

                            Her: Account?

                            Me: xxxxxxx

Her: What do you mean limits?

Me: How much can I bet on an NFL game over the phone?

Her: That information is on the website

Me: My limits were cut, I can only bet 500 online, I want to know if it's higher over the phone

Her: You can bet whatever the computer will take

Me: Can you ask a manager please?

Her: It's too early, they aren't in yet

Only shock with that CS is that it wasn't a cris-brand book. And I didn't trust her to try to place one or two dimes on a random NFL game and actually cancel it when I said I didn't want it.
