I wish this industry wasn't so shady, but then again I guess we're lucky to be able to use it at all. Just shows you need to be careful even with the A+ books

You are better off just removing your "affiliate banner" from your website now, as I see Bookmaker loosing some major business from this fiasco - certainly mine....

Nah. Sh1t happens. I think most people here have enough perspective to understand that and not take this kind of stuff personally.
If you start taking down banners of all the sites that have had a crap-out at an inconvenient time, here's what you would have left:
Zero.
Wherever you might think of moving your funds, they have had a problem too. You can knee-jerk around, always reacting to the most recent thing you've seen, or you can look at the big picture, make sure you have multiple outs, and roll with the punches.

I placed a couple bets for today on Bookmaker on Friday... Will these bets I placed be okay whenever the website comes back online? Has this kind of thing happened to you guys before using other books?

Mudcat is right - if this is a hack attack as has been suggested, not a lot can be done, at least initially. People need to chill out, it's not like they don't WANT your wagers. And I am sure that they are going to stand for any wagers already placed that play today.
Now, what I would expect is better communication from them on what the problem is, and when it might be fixed.

Dude you guys need to relax. This has happened to just about every big name book at some point in their existence. From all things said, it does not appear to have been an upgrade deal - it is that their shit crashed or was taken down. Quite certain no book would ever want to be down on their heaviest action day of the week.
If you really needed to place a bet that bad, use the F-ing phone.
oh really? you wouldn't be just trying to capture some logins, would you???

Is this mirror confirmed?
If this guy (Cobra) is trying to grab account numbers - a mod should ban him - now.

It is a valid mirror site indeed. In fact www.sport-bet.net has been a skin of the Cris family for quite sometime now. I just forgot about it is all.

This has happened to me in the past with another book in CR. They were back on line the following Tuesday. They used the same line about computer maintenance when in fact the system had crashed. Personally I'm not to concerned about this. If you need to call in your plays so be it, but this will get ironed out by mid week imho.

was able to access it on the mobile site through blackberry, but I lost all my funds yesterday so not able to make a wager
Sounds like this is an extortion DOS. This type of thing is getting way out of hand.
I think another on-line gambling forum had a DOS attack last month and was shut down for the weekend.
Hope SBR has taken precautions to avoid this kind of thing - and mirrored the Prick contest site as a backup. Is there a Prick/SBR contest site mirror?
The guy that story refers to set up Prolexic, who're now the ddos shield for Pinnies (and tons of others books). Doesn't always work perfectly though - a good chunk of Europe were regularly unable to access Pinnies at all in recent months, being misidentified as ddos attacks.
