    BetOnline Complaint
About a week ago I asked to switch my BetOnline account from the 'big bonuses' package to the low juice one. I talked to customer service and they said sure, no problem, they would make the switch right away.

My balance was zero, so I reloaded the next day. I go to make my first bet, but sure enough I'm not getting the reduced juice lines. I go back to customer service, and NOW they tell me I need to cover my make-up figure of ~$11,000 before I can switch to reduced juice.

There's no mention of this requirement in the terms & conditions, and I don't even see the reason for it, besides making me send them a bunch of money. I've played there regularly, and haven't abused their bonuses or anything.

I was looking for a reduced juice book specifically, and I wouldn't have even reloaded my account if I had known I'd be stuck on the old package until I cover this make-up figure.

I've explained all this to customer service and one of the managers, and they've been entirely rude, stubborn, and unresponsive. So is there anything SBR can do for me? I'd still like to get the reduced juice if I can, but there's no way I'm sending an extra $11,000. If nothing else, dock em some points for making up rules on the fly and having shitty customer service.

I've had them pull up some rules on me that were not listed anywhere as well, they will keep trying to get away with sh!t like this as long as there is an "A" next to their name.

To my understanding you are allowed to switch bonus plans one time without penalty. What you need to do is call a account management representative (1-800-977-4717) to set up your desired package sir.

        calm,

Email Help@SportsbookReview with your information. If they told you they would do that then mgt. will honor it. Was this in email or chat?

As far as a reason for it... bonuses are usually applied only to "new money." If they perceive someone to take a big bonus and arb it out on a couple big bets they wouldn't then want to give him -105. If you got 105 and a bonus on it, it's more like 102.

          Hi Bill,

Thanks for the quick response. I filled out a complaint on the SportsbookReview website (I'll PM you my account number and e-mail address so you know to match that complaint to this thread). Will that suffice, or should I send an additional e-mail? All communication with BetOnline was done through live chat online.

Feel free to ask for (or I can try to get a hold of for you) my bet history. You'll see that I haven't abused the bonuses in any way, and I've put down plenty of action (i.e. not just arbing out the bonuses). I'm not trying to game the system and get the best of both worlds (bonus and -105 lines). I simply decided I'd like to have a reduced juice book for football this year and in the future, so I asked to switch.

If they require one more $2,500 deposit or something, I can understand that. But requiring $11,000, my entire make-up figure, and especially not telling me right away, that is unacceptable.

You have an $11,000 make up figure? Is it really sending "extra" money if you owe the book?

Shouldn't you pay the $11, 000 first then make a new deposit to get the reduced juice? I might be missing something here...

Sounds like he did that already!

With all these complaints, they should be downgraded!

If he just wants to take his money and leave now, they will hit him with their outrageous withdraw fees!

                calm,

BetOnline asked that we point out that comments on the account from earlier in the day say you could not switch but they have moved you to the reduced juice lineset.

St A: He doesn't owe $11k. He's won $11k from them in the past. They want him to deposit in excess of $11k (still his money to use) to get the new lineset.

                          You are welcome Calm.

They did want to make sure the board understands that in the future they will not be able to bonus and then apply reduced juice.

I will make a note of this and use this post as a reference in case somebody else tries to attempt this sorta thing in the future. Also they might want to make there rules clearly state this in there FAQ's page.
