    Just Bet Annoyance
I decided to cash out at Just Bet as I couldn't stand their slow interface any longer. I have not asked for a cashout there before, but was aware that you can get one free cashout per month.

I called customer service and requested a withdrawal for the entire amount. When asked if I was closing the account I answered that I was. She asked why and I explained that the interface was too slow for my liking.

She then informed me that if I am closing the account I do not qualify for the free withdrawal and that I would have to pay $40 for it. I agreed, but WTF? That type of penny ante crap is just plain annoying. They had decent MLB lines, but they just lowered the probability that I will ever bet there again to 0. Hope that $40 was worth it.

Now thats not right at all sir! It shouldn't matter if you close your account or not in order to get what they advertise.

          I respectfully disagree

I am going to side with JustBet.com on this one. If you are closing your account(and that's what you told them) you should not expect a free withdrawal.

The bottom line is the "free" payout's are for their active players and not people looking to close their account.

PS I heard through the "grapevine" that JustBet.com is scheduled to launch their new web site on Thursday. Has anybody else heard about this?

              WOW!

So you think a sportsbook should pick the fees up on the money coming in and then give you a free payout when you say you are closing your account?

I do think it should be free, if they advertise it as free. At the least, they should mention it in the withdrawal policies section of their website. (I also don't understand how it costs $40 and takes 3 weeks to send a check, but that's not atypical in this business.)

If they are launching a new site, the CS person did not mention it when I was griping about their current one - which seemed like it would be a good time to mention it. She did mention some mirror sites that may be faster than their primary site.

Obviously I won't get a next time, but I posted this in part to warn others not to be honest with them about your intentions if you're leaving. It would be cheaper to leave $10 in the account and take a free withdrawal for the rest.

I didn't. At the time of the withdrawal request I agreed to the terms the CS agent gave me, and did not argue or complain about it. I should have, but didn't.

It seems unsporting to file an SBR complaint now when I didn't give JustBet an indication that they gave me something to complain about, or a chance to fix it. As I wrote above, I wanted to give other bettors a heads up so they don't step in the same pot hole I did. (And to bitch a bit.)

The way the US market is right now , I dont think blasting on a book because of a $40 payout issue should be major.

The book is solid and pays people out and the CS is great. So if you balance things out I guess that $40 dont look so big in the end doesnt it?

Go over to Futurebet I heard they got free payouts going on....lol

I don't think anyone is disputing they provide a good service sir. However, do you really feel it's fair that they changed the rules when nothing was noted on there website that would claim that? I personally feel that Mr.Bullajami got jipped out of $40.

I am not sure that my comments constitute "blasting on a book", but I guess that's in the eye of the beholder.

I agree that its a minor issue, and hopefully a few people can avoid it by reading this thread. I have avoided many minor (and major) issues with online sportsbooks over the past few years by reading about them here.
