    stanjames stole my money!!!
I have been a regular StanJames.com user since May 2011 and the following happened:

I have been placing bets on a daily basis since May 2011 and on the 2nd of July 2011 I have been sent an e-mail according to which my account has been closed. I did not notice this e-mail util the 19th of July 2011 because it arrived in my spam folder and continued placing bets. On the 19th of July I noticed that my account has 0 USD balance and I started searching my e-mails and noticed the account closure e-mail.

Stanjames stated that my account was closed on the 2nd July 2011 and that afterwards I was not able to place any bets, but this is totally FALSE! I have even withdrawn money from my stanjames account on the 3rd of July 2011.

I have also contacted the support team and sent them zounds of e-mails. They sent me a statement of my betting history that does not contain my bets placed between 10/06/11 an d 18/07/11 and according to it, all my money was refunded, but this is not true. I have had 2865.3 USD on my stanjames account on the 18th of July 2011, but they are stating that there is not evidence of this.

What do you say, should I report this at the local police department or should I wait until SBR comes with a solution?

    Thanks and, beware the "
sharks"!!! They have made my life a nightmare!

Welcome to SBR. I would fill out a complaint form http://www.sportsbookreview.com/Spor...Complaint.aspx and we can look into this matter for you.

OP, do you have any evidence of your deposits after 2 July, or bets, or balance? Screenshots? Moneybookers deposit e-mail confirmations? Without such proof, there's nothing you can do.

With proof, you can complain to the IBAS and the Gambling Commission (I don't think IBAS deals with non-bet disputes, but you could contact them anyway). You can also sue them (Small Claims, online processing). I'm not sure what SBR could do for you as most of the big UK books don't talk to SBR - citing privacy rules, etc. but basically because whilst there's some truth in that, they don't need to worry about a mainly-offshore-focused forum and so they don't!

Yes it's strange but now I see my account is closed too on SJ couple month ago but still I can login and go in to deposit page...normal when is account closed, that must mean no login more...

I would guess it's slang for bookies in OP's first language. In any event, the meaning is quite clear, and OP expressed him/herself better in English than I could in almost any other language.

If the OP has been accurate in what he says then its a very unusual situation........never heard of book where you can carry on logging into your account if its been closed. Stan James has been carrying out a cull of accounts recently and seem to have screwed up somewhere. Will be interesting to see how your case is dealt with if you make a complaint through SBR. If its genuine, I hope its found in your favour.

                    Last e-mail from SJ:

                    Hi,

It was closed to to its unprofitable nature.

All funds have been sent on the 3rd as highlighted.

You now have all the relevant information and I have answered your questions. Please feel free to contact IBAS, we will abide by any decision, but I will not be responding any further.

                    Kind regards,
                    Nick

StanJames is registered in Gibraltar, in case you did not know this... Stealing money in a fiscal paradise, good way to make money in 2011, right ?!!!

Withdraw all your remaining funds as quick as possible until you still have time. What does your balance say? Does it show you 0 USD/Euro? If so, you are in the same situation!!!

This was my suggestion to Seljak. He seems to be in the same situation.

I have already filled out the complaint form, but had no possibility to attach the statement issued by SJ. If it might be of your help, where can I send it?
