Yes, Canadians are allowed at Betfair. Bet365 is my favorite for in game.

it depends on the what you want. which leagues exciting for you? there isn't enuough liquidity Betfair's us sports markets. (besides NBA which is the most popular US league in Europea and Asia so has a good liquidity) also Betfair doesn't have good liquidity on the tennis, at least the match shoud be a quarter-final but an ordinary livebet book may offer livebet for first round or second round match.
Also Betfair doesn't offer live bet for %95 of european basketball and hockey matches. If you interested in English Premier League,other major soccer leagues,NBA, UK horse racing and major organisations (world cup,european cup etc) Betfair is priceless place for you. like I say it depends on the what you want.

books : bet 365, betway , 12bet, unibet, offsidebet, sportingbet....but bet 365 and sportingbet have high juice. disgusting 40 cent lines

I heard that Pinnacle was going to be offering lots of MLB live betting this year. Check them out. Very low juice, and the most reliable book on the planet.

Bet365 has the most options but prices are crap
Betfair is solid and determined by market
Pinnacle is also pretty solid
