    Interpretation of terms and conditions
    Hi!

I have a recent dispute with a sportsbook. I betted over 4.5 goals on an NHL playoff match and eventually it was ended 2-2 in regular time and 3-2 after overtime.
In their Terms and Conditions they have nothing specific to NHL matches or ice hockey matches in general though there is a general statement: "Unless otherwise stated, all bets on ... are according to the full time result of a match."
You might already guessed that my problem is that I supposed that the goals in overtime counts and they say they aren't.
My English is not native so I am just asking you that according to this is it 100% clear that the overtime is not counted?

    which book?

normal for NHL is to count 1 goal for the OT or shoot out if scores are tied at FT, so you should have been on a winner

Most firms I know offering NHL tend to offer their totals by the US style including OT, but in your example with a total of 4.5 then to me this looks like it was priced up assuming 60mins only and therefore not inclusive of OT.

If English isnt your native language, and you dont wish to name the book publically then send me a PM with the name and I will be happy to have a look at the rules to see exactly what they say if you want ?

unless there's a rule on point, the book cannot argue this pt (they might be able to argue bad line though, i don't know what the market prices are at the time), the accepted general industry standard is OT inclusive, and if OT happened in a basketball game it would've been included in any (unless specified specifically otherwise) full time result

Yes, I am aware that OT inclusive is the de-facto standard this is why I had the assumption.
The question is basically can I argue with them based on the TnC since they wrote me this in their answer to my complaint: "Full Time does not include Over Time."
I think they cannot say that it is a bad line since the bet is treated as a losing bet currently and not as a void.
This is the link to the their terms and conditions: TnC

Pinnacle changed their NHL rules that unless stated otherwise games will be graded on regulation time only. They should have it specifically in their rules on NHL

If OT is not included, the word should be "First 60 minutes" or Regular time like in soccer. Full time should include OT of a game.

Just tried to have a look at what price they were on tonights game but was too late as it has been taken off the board - I am guessing that if they are 60mins only, then the total would be 4.5 again.

Sadly I have never even heard of this book so cant tell if this is their usual practice or not as have no experience.

Hockey totals with OT included are almost always 5-6 points I would have to assume that you bet into either a 3-way market or the book does not include OT, unless you bet an alt. line.

boss, hockey totals are not considered "pts", just like mlb run totals are not considered "pts"

                        another one of my uselessness

interesting, they have rules for soccer, nfl, tennis, basketball, baseball, but NO hockey

in any case, write them back and ask them what happens to mlb totals if the scores are tied after 9 innings are completed, and they go into extra-innings

The European standard is for regulation time I believe, so my suspicion is this was a non US-facing book.
