bodog scared me once they were unable to do bank transfers a few months ago.
with no reload bonus there was really no reason to use them anyway unless you're still on their "recreational" lines.
no way does sbr come out better after all of this illini. i respect your opinion, but this stuff is the beginning of the end. vegas might never be "stronger than ever" again, it got WAY overbuilt and so did online poker/sportsbooks. there was really no reason to have hundreds of online sportsbooks, and now that the casual guys are running scared (who can blame them) most of that business will never come back.
all it took for the decline of free music downloading was the government to scare college kids, which is what they're doing now with poker/sportsbooks.Comment -

The DOJ can't seize Bodog's domain name now. Or at least if they can, they will have a much harder time doing so. The change from .com to .eu was announced in March and is no doubt a preventative move to avoid hassle and interruption of having a domain seized in the future.
Bank Accounts on the other hand are a different story. I don't think anyone can accurately predict what will happen, but it seems Quad Jacks has lot a bit of respect in the poker community. They're throwing a lot of shit against the wall hoping it sticks. It's like the end of the world prophecy last week. If they miss the prediction, everyone forgets about it in a week. If they nail it then they are "the source" to go to for news.Comment -

even if this is true it's not like "Bodog is going to get seized" all they can "seize" is the domain name, redirect the website to some gay FBI/homeland security webpage. So not like the entire company will go down in flame, and didn't I read that Bodog already changed domain names to .eu or something other than .com so their domain can't be seized?

Sportsbooks have pretty much gotten away with it with minimal trouble for 15 years. What makes you think now all the sudden several hundred sportsbooks can really be taken down? That seems unrealistic. If they stop using processors that use US shell company accounts, they should be fine. If they send all wires, checks, etc from foreign accounts, I don't see how they could get indicted.Comment -
At this point i could give a sh-it what you say or what u know or think u know, what are u trying to prove by making an announcement like that. For 1 im so fed up with our govn that i would rather play in offshore than to play here and pay taxes for these fools.
