A litmus test on higher rated sportsbooks: email response time
I used to play quite a bit of online poker before the exit of Stars and Tilt from the Us Market. One of the differences between those two were email response times. Stars was the fastest in terms of hours. Full Tilt took days to replay to most basic requests.

That being said...I got my stars check from the cashout...Tilt has not even processed USA customers (exception being their sponsered pros).

Anyways I was looking to load yesterday and had a glitch with Bookmaker...they said they had internet problems yesterday. I sent emails inquiring whether the problem was fixed. Nary a response...and this is for me giving them money.....

So at 1:49 pm today I sent emails to the higher rated sites that service americans. It was a simple email asking about reload promos and if any will be available for the NBA finals.

I will post the results as I get them

I feel that sites that handle customer correspondence in a timely matter are more efficent...I like that in an online poker site and I like that in a book...

Here was the short email sent to them all at the same time

    Hi,

I am emailing seeing what deposit bonuses you have right now and any upcoming specials for the NBA Finals.

    Two automatic email replies....

Betonline and Bodog were neck and neck. The replies were within two minutes. Stating that they received the inquiry and gave generic time frame to send back a reply.

One big difference b/t poker sites and sportsbooks is that most sportsbooks offer live chat as well as phone service, so e-mailing is usually one of the least efficient ways to contact them.

Legends had a response at 2:31PM. It looks to be a basic cut and paste with description on a signup bonus. No mention of any NBA Finals promo either way.

Odd thing that was included in the email was the priority. It was rated low....it was low as no time sensitive matters were at hand but I dont know if a depositer ever likes to be called low priority

The Greek replied at 2:32pm. Clearly states bonuses are for rec players only. Descirbes the bonus as well as the methods in which usa customers get them. No mention of any NBA Finals promo but from past experience I know that they usually dont do them.

After two hours....the highest rated books (exception Pinny because no USA) went for 50 percent

All at least responded. I appreciate that and one of those will get my next load/reload.

5 dimes, Bookmaker, Betjam, and Betdsi did not even respond. No automatic reply...no recognition whatsoever. If these books do not reply to deposit inquiries, I can not imagine getting better servicce for non deposit issues.

Very disappointed in some of these A+ books

pinnacle's email response is absolutely amazing... your email request is acknowledged within minutes and if they need to research the question or ask someone in a specific department - then max turnaround has been about 30 minutes... and I've bugged them at least 5-6 times already about different issues on different days.

I especially love the fact that if their odds are not fully online yet - you can sort of nudge them to get moving They usually post within minutes after my emails.

Again, e-mail is not very efficient for many books. You could have gotten someone via live chat at 5Dimes or Bookmaker in less than a minute.

If e-mail support is extremely important to you for whatever reason, that's fine, just pointing out that e-mail response time is not necessarily an accurate indicator of overall customer service.

Lou... why didnt you include bet jamaica on your post? They are far and away the fastest to reply to emails to me.

ALso... The Greek pretty much always answers my emails within 20 minutes...odd that they it took them 1-2 hours.. never had to wait that long.

5-D is poor at email responses and when they do they often direct you to live chat to get your questions answered. If a Book offers it, live chat is the way to go.

Example of how great the Greek is in regards to CS...

Emailed them at 10:53 tonight requesting tennis lines to go up because I live on the EC and wanna get my bets in before i go to sleep.

Emailed me back at 11:02 telling me they contacted the oddsmakers and to check back shortly for tennis lines.

Checked at 11:20 and the lines were up.

Thats what I call great CS work...
