#2And now I just word that BetGameday just shut down accounts that are based out of New York. I got the message when I signed in this past weekend and the CSR told me they are no longer doing business with anyone in New York State.
The party is over.Comment -

#6Banks are putting the screws on tight about CC deposits. The state of New York is basically shut down completely from using CC's. The only option is either some e-wallets or Money Transfer/Rapid Transfer.Comment -

#11VIP and Gameday (same company) have not accepted new US players in years. They have very little sportsbook action left at all and aren't marketing outside of US. No Canadians either.
After Matchbook, SportsInteraction is really the only book that is newly out of the US for new players. They are actually the last book in North America (Canada) that took Americans. Sportsbook.com lost a lot of their processing and didn't want the mass poker signups in the offseason to clog the pipes. They will be marketing by fall and my guess is after they conveniently break off their advertising deals that don't help them in the offseason.Comment -

#12Why is ther so much emphasis on CC's? There are ** and ** locations just about everywhere and I would assume that it is a much safer way to send funds too??Comment -

#13Guy, they have been tight since last August. If it has been working for you, it has been because the use of a miscoding processor. Get a clue.Comment -

#14I don't understand what is the point of all these places banning new US players. They are in the exact same legal situation whether they accept new US players or only allowing existing ones. I don't see what the benefit is.Comment -

They just wanna limit the amount of payouts they can do due to processing issues. With the crackdown on processors within the US last month, alot of these sportsbooks took a hit with how they can process. If they limit the amount of new players coming in, they will limit the # of payouts they have to do, instead of getting bigger and bigger, and not being able to handle it. Finding processors is very costly for these books and it makes more sense on a business point to limit the amount of customers.Comment -

#20I just started working in the bodog kahnawake office and the DOJ that shut down all the poker sites is from New York, so therefore the banks are real wary about accepting any kind of transactions. Most CC's aren't going through, and ALL checks won't clear. For NY residents, the only option is Money transfers and E-wallets like *********. Also Utah is added to a similar list of states that no checks can be sent to. I will keep the board notified as updates are confirmed as I am a player as well that works at a bookComment -

#23Books are going to continue to limit who they take on these days. Proccesors have limits too, and 100 small transactions a day above the norm sets off alarms.
Books want solid clients who won't hit and run and who won't **********.
Heritage has operated this way for over a decade. Don't be suprised to see others be cautious.
Fact of the matter is 100's aren't suddenly looking to become gamblers daily. Books aren't stupid and aren't fighting for the same group of customers like the old days...limited budgets, less solid shops and a tight economic and legal enviorment makes this a sellers market for us facing shops...few taking new biz and when they do they won't be giving huge bonuses. To the positive though, strong books will shine through.Comment -
