BET365 requests strange verification way.Is it secure and do they have such right?

what is the big deal ? you have already sent them your passport image right ? it is annoying to have to go through more verification after what you have done but if you have a web cam then it is not a big deal to do this. takes 5 minutes.

unless of course it is not your passport....

books are coming up with more and more idiotic demands, while none of the stuff they actually want you to do is anything near bullet-proof and only takes lots of extra time & trouble for everybody involved. at some point for me, enough is enough; if a book really doesn't trust someone, throw him out instead of asking endlessly for more proof.

Sounds similar to when you get an official ID document notarized in person. The notary has to see the person and verify that the ID is them. Sounds ridiculous that you have to do this for a sportsbook though.

I have also recently have some trouble with them, the identification is beginning to look like a joke as I have used them for several years with moving and telephone number changes all over, and every single time there is trouble... I hope they come to their senses as people are gonna start getting annoyed and stop using them.

i don't think this procedure is legal...if you don't want to do it just close your account, they'll send your money back (and winnings), at least Bet365 is not stealing from customers...and they do have strange KYC, maybe you missed their verification call?? sometimes they also call to verify details.

Dont worry about my 4 digit number,it i have changed after post long time ago.Yes i think that it is illeagal procedure,i can send such type of foto they want,but if it not leagal i not want risk,there is other bookmakers i can use without such strange verification.I used deposit via moneybookers,becouse its cheapest and fastest way to deposit/get funds it takes max up to 24 hours frequently to get funds from bookmakers and i can withdraw them at ATM or spend at whatever i want.I will talk with them later and if they will tell me to send such verification i think i request to close my account and withdraw funds i had.I registered at bet365 becouse it has higher odds that another bookmaker i used.

they just sent me a code to enter in the kyc section and that was it , maybe it has changed i have been with them for about 7 years, anyways they are a very safe book

what exactly are you concerned about if you are who the documents say you are?

I think there are too much bonus abusers at bet365 (up to 100EUR for "new" customers) , that's why they are doing this ridiculous procedure...

By the way : if you deposited by moneybookers, why do they ask a CC statement with deposits to bet365? And if you say that you don't have CC?

Other bookmakers will not ask you for any documents, id should be enough.

Hello find this thread,same problem for me.Registered at bet365 deposited 100euro,verified documents and placed bets,after i won about 1200euro my account was suspended i cannot log in to bet or withdraw funds.They want my photo holding document.Also i see they want PVC which is already entered about 2 weeks ago.Also they want transactions made from my bank.

As you know, we have security and validation of accounts of our customers very seriously, which confirms that you can have complete confidence in our service.
Our security department informed us that we need to send us a scanned photograph with you to keep a copy of your ID in your hands other than the identity will need to send us the code that PVC is located in the Welcome sent to you by mail to confirm the address.An have this code included in the package, please include your e-mail at or contact us to verify the. If you have not received this package with the code, please let us confirming your mailing address to resend it.
We finally need a copy of the bank reporting on financial transactions with our company.

It is very sad that they do such things to new customers,i feel humiliated,i cannot place bets becouse my account suspended.I not want to send my personal photo holding document,i can privide all other documents forms they want,but it is not normal to ask such things,i am not from africa,i am from europe.I send them message that if they not want me as customer please send me back 1200euro i had and leave account suspended,i will play in other books who dont make such stupidity.

they are required to be satisfied regarding ID before making payouts
what's the big deal if you are the owner of the documents and they have a photo of you anyway?

the big deal is that this 'new' verification requirements are NOT stipulated in terms and conditions of bet365!
If i know in advance that a bookie will require pictures of me in front of my house/holding ID or my dental record, I wouldn't open an account there, not to mention winning some bets and being forced to comply with the photo-shoot to get my money.
