Why do books make it so difficult to track your progress month to month...
I'm trying to track my winnings for hockey for december but there is no way to check this on Pinny without me having to go through every single ticket. I recall Bet365 was the same.

Why don't they have more organization, it is so damn annoying. It will take me a ridiculous amount of time to tally up the whole month to track my progress.

Do they not see this as a little annoying for us?

Yeah, they probably don't want people to get discouraged.

A nice and neat figure of all the losses would be proof the player has been losing money.

They'd rather the player continue under the delusion they are "about even".

So it's the player's responsibility to track this stuff. And if you are too lazy to track it independently of the book, then too bad for you. And if you are in the red month after month and year after year, then you probably shouldn't be gambling in the first place. Unless, of course, you are gambling strictly for entertainment, in which case you don't care if that final figure is red or black.

With Pinnacle you can check your graded wagers by day, week, month. Go to my account in the orange bar then click on review account.

Yes, I forgot Pinnacle has that neat feature. Haven't played there in years, unfortunately, so I forgot about that. In the previous post I was speaking of (recreational) books in general. Definitely like places that let the player see what they've done, without sugarcoating it.

You should be tracking your own plays, anyway. Don't trust the Sportsbooks to not make mistakes. I bet half of us here have had grading errors at some point. Plus, it is great to go back and look at wagers in groups of 100's, 500's, 1000's, etc, to see if a pattern jumps out.

Heck, I even use a spreadsheet to track my SBR points bets, and I generally just throw points at stuff without thinking about it with those.

If only there was some website that actually let you make your own spreadsheet and track your wagers.

Only a month? That sucks I was just looking at my 07 winnings the other day on Pinnacle.

Yes but they don't allow you to check by sport. It's all a jumbled mess with all my picks made with NBA and NFL also. I just want it sorted by NHL. But you cant do that, I have to go through every ticket to do this.

I think your asking for a bit much now. A spread sheet might be your best bet.

But as far as Pinnacles list being a jumbled mess, that is untrue. The forth column list the sport so its pretty easy to find each NHL bet. By what everyone is saying it sounds like Pinnacles system is pretty good. It will allow you to go back to 2000.

I always thought Pinnacle was great for tracking your history. Hell, I can remember checking my transactions from like 6 years ago. What other sportsbook has this feature? I doubt very many.

Used to you paypal and track deposits versus withdrawls they go back like 8 years. Pretty crazy stuff back then looking at the ease of withdrawals and deposits .

If you are serious enough about your betting to want to know sport by sport, month by month or whatever, this is precisely what you should be doing.

I record every bet I make in a spreadsheet and make a point of using it to reconcile all my bookie balances every week. If you don't, you most probably will miss errors they have made.
