23 Year Old ‘Momma’s Boy’ Bank Robber Is Hollywoodsportsbook's Gambler of the Week
Robber Uses Phone in Police Station Lobby 1 Block from Bank He Robbed To Call Mommy…Gets Busted

San Jose, Costa Rica Dec 1st, 2010, Hollywoodsportsbook.com, a leading online entertainment gaming site since 1997, today announced that it has chosen 23 year old momma’s boy bank robber Nathan Alan Bramlage of Eugene, Oregon as its latest “Gambler of the Week.”

Bramlage was arrested for a bank robbery which took place a day earlier at the Wells Fargo bank, after he made the unwise decision to use a public phone in all places, the Eugene Police Department lobby, 1 block from the bank, when unfortunately for him, the desk officer recognized him from the bank’s surveillance footage and called detectives to come arrest him.

Robert Evans, Hollywood’s Director of Operations says “What can I say? You do the crime, you do the time….BUT…. what you don’t do is walk into a police station next to the bank you just robbed to use the phone to call mommy unless you really want to get busted.”

“Robbing a bank is a gamble in itself nowadays, it’s not easy…. You have to deal with security guards with guns, video cameras, bank patrons with cell phone cameras, bad timing, beat cops, silent alarms, angry underpaid tellers etc….. and then if you are lucky enough to get out the door with some cash, it explodes and covers your ugly ass with red dye, continues Evans… but Jesus, don’t make it this easy for them to bust ya after all your hard work…. and I don’t doubt for 1 minute that Wells Fargo didn’t deserve it after the 25 billion dollars they received from the government TARP bailout plan. Maybe Bramlage was simply striking back at the fundamental problem of U.S. government economic policies for bailing out Wall Street rather than Main Street and he just needed to call Mom to remind her vote Republican in the next election.”

That is why we chose Mr. Bramlage. He took that big gamble not only to rob a bank, but to use the police lobby phone thinking no one would recognize him, to call mom.

“But I do want to know two more things about this case, Evans interjects… While I do applaud the officer who spotted the thief, but why did he not arrest Bramlage himself while was actually in the police station using the phone?

The officer actually called other cops to tell them “Hey your dangerous bank robber is here in the police station using the phone but I’m too busy to come around the desk to arrest him, so you guys come do it… oh by the way he just left.. See you at the Christmas Party…. 10-4”…and second, I wonder if they considered Bramlage’s call to his mom as his one free call? Evans jokingly concludes.

For being chosen as our latest “Gambler of the Week,” Hollywood is awarding Mr. Bramlage with a $500 wagering account which we hope he can run up to thousands in order to pay some legal fees and maybe buy a cell phone, even if he may not need it for awhile says Ms. Nicki Smith, Hollywood’s Public Relations manager.
Additionally Hollywood has a special promotion in honor of Mr. Bramlage. Sign up and make a deposit with them and they will give you an extra 20% cash bonus to use on their site using promo code GOW20.

Advertising here is not allowed, and D book reps are not allowed to post, but this spamming of the board so far is not waking up any mods from their hibernation.

If I were running the marketing for any sportsbook and I wanted to run a promotion along these lines I would choose a better person than a bank robber to use as a "gambler of the week". Why not find someone who is taking a chance and also doing something that is respectable. Players will be more likely to want to identify and relate to a hero than a zero.

^^ Last week they had a guy in a wheelchair who helped stop a robbery. The people who could walk barely did anything to help.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMyjVpag8os for the video of that. Skip to 0:55 to see the action. Watch the raw footage from the entire ordeal at 2:10.

i'm sure the bank robber did not rob the bank for more money than hollywood sportsbook did back in the day w/ the cp fiasco, if they had a stiff of the year award hollywood/sb.com would win it hands down back in 2006
