SportingBet cancelled my won bets, cancelled my cashout and closed my account
    Hello,

I would like to complain about an action SportingBet did against myself. I placed three bets on next corner market on a game they were trading In-Play, they initially settled them as won. After I won the last one, I instructed a withdrawal to my Credit Card. However, when the game ended, I saw they have canceled all of my winning bets and canceled my withdrawal as well. When I asked why is that, they told me the bets were late(?!). Of course they did not prove it, I guess they were suspicious of it because of the stakes I placed ( above 500 EUR) and these great minds decided they were late after the match ended and they thought over it!?

When I complained, they closed my account, telling me that this decision is final!? Luckily, I made screenshots before they do that and I filed a complaint with I.B.A.S.

It just comes to prove what SportingBet are not a bookmaker that can be trusted. However, I hope IBAS will help me get justice on this one, because they took 1,500 EUR won fair and square.

the fact that you made 3 bets and that they were large indicates the bets were late and you knew. All bookies cancel bets in those situations, nothing you can do, it's in their rules.

Massive in play arbs usually spell the end of a sportingbet account. I only lasted a few bets too. Hope you didn't lose too much at betfair!

Huh, his posted indicated he was doing live-betting. How can that be "late" unless the game was already over?

Betting after a goal is scored when they haven't moved the odds from before it was scored would be considered past-posting by most books offering live betting.

Well, this seems very unfair to me. As they can see from my betting history I have had such large bets on the same kind of markets in other In-Play games. And the fact that they first settled them as won, and just after the match ended canceled them, is very suspicious to me.

If the book is too stupid to move their lines along with the games they shouldn't be offering live-betting. They should not be able to cancel the plays.

no, the prices were the same during the whole game - 1.75 for team A and 1.95 for team B, didn`t change them through the match.

In live betting if a goal is scored or corner conceded etc. then the relevant market is suspended and then put back up with new lines or odds. If the bookmeker does not suspend the market in time people can bet on, for instance a goal to be scored when they already know the goal has been scored and they can't lose. In these cases the bookmaker will retrospectively check what time the goal was scored and who placed a bet after that time, the bets placed after the goal has been scored will then be cancelled. This happens often with live betting because there are so many markets and therefore the bookmaker protects themselves by voiding late bets, as set out in their rules. I worked for a big euro book who offer a lot of live betting and this kind of thing is very common, like i said it's in their rules so there is nothing you can do about it.

if the prices never changed during the match that shows that they forgot to suspend the market and alter the lines and so you were betting with original lines when you knew how the match was going and knew your bets were winners or very likely to be. Because bookmakers offer so many live markets these things are inevitable and that's why they have a rule to protect themselves, it's fair enough that they do that in my eyes, otherwise they would be cleaned out.

Well it has taken a week for Stan James to have not finished checking time of a goal.

maybe there was really no need to change the odds on "who will get the next corner"
