matchbook should do this to improve their liquidity
allow users to accept any offer that becomes arbable w/ their previous placed bets (post-commission of course), regardless of their current balance

eg: you place 10k bet at +170 2 hours ago, someone is now offering -160 on the other side, you should be able to take that offer up to your original bet amount even if you have zero free funds remaining in your account. this is painfully obv as it adds additional liquidity at zero additional risk..

(watch sharpcat comes in this thread and accuse me of being a penny stinking dirty arber now lol)

edit: you should be able to offer the other side at any arbable price also w/out additional cash outlay

i don't know why the don't since if you do make a bet on both sides, they will only tie up your maximum loss in the market. the system should recognize that you are betting the other side and adjust your available balance accordingly.

Always wondered why they don't do this. WSEX live betting has that with the sell feature.

haven't played there in a while but i'm pretty sure (at least then) it won't let you do anything with zero balance.

don't know if this works when you have zero free funds. i know that if you do have funds and then bet the other side it will work out.

You mean zero free funds, but an amount locked in on a side that has moved into scalpable territory?

Just betting the other side up to the point you would make on the other side. Doesn't matter if it is a scalp or not.
