    globet withdrawal refusal
An account withdrawal/closure of 1500 pounds has been refused as I have not supplied an IBAN.
I rang my bank twice (HSBC) who said Australian banks do not use IBAN and that all I need is to supply SWIFT codes, account numbers and SORT codes. I have done this and it was enough for 4 other bookies (Bet365, Pinnacle, BetFair and Betdaq) all of whom sent me my money. Globet have not replied to emails for 12 days now. I notice they have a D+ rating. Should be worse! Wish I had seen this site earlier.

    What should I do?
I have sent in a complaint via this forum and emailed Bill.
Is IBAS next? When should I start that process?

    Andrew.

IBAS is a joke. Doesn't deserve even stamps.
Globet doesn't care about it's reputation, and will not even bother to read Bill's e-mails.

I suggest you open a Moneybookers or Neteller account. Deposit 10 euros to Globet, and then request all your balance back to your MB/NT account.

Globet was slow-paying earlier in the year, see here: http://forum.sbrforum.com/sportsbook...t-slowpay.html It might be worth bumping that, to see if any of the posters on that thread reply to offer insight into how they resolved things.

That said, there's another thread with people documenting prompt payouts to e-wallets (http://forum.sbrforum.com/sportsbook...ay-globet.html). However, due to anti-money laundering legislation, I doubt that a book would withdraw via a different method than you deposited just because you make a small "dummy" deposit that way (which is what the previous poster is suggesting).

Thanks I guess I could try that but if they are pretending they cant send me money because they require IBAN then I think another account is doomed to fail. I have been told by other bookies they can only send money by the original method of deposit, which is in this case, via bank wire. I have found the name of Globet general manager in Gilbraltar and have sent her an email too. Although they may not care about the reputation of Globet they might care more about their own.

Globet are a joke and will drag out payment for as long as they can. Submit a complaint to globet in 'writing' (by email) - which they'll more than likely ignore - thus exhausting their complaint procedure. Submit a complaint to the Gambling Commission.

            OK Gambling Commission is next.
I have traced the IP address of the customer service mail mx1.globet.com 62.73.133.214 to Hounslow

but their UK office address is in Putney. How does that work?

            The Courtyard Putney Wharf
            1 Putney High Street
            London, England
            United KingdomSW15 1SZ

Just wondering if it is worthwhile contacting their local coppers for internet money fraud.

Well that is not answering the question - thanks for nothing.

PS. But to answer your question:
                - I was not living in Australia when I opened the account
                - I did not know they were dodgy

I've also been waiting for 10 days to get my money back (haven't even played there, just requested my deposit to be returned).

Now that the site is down (Live casino has been down for quite some time too) I can only fear the worst.

OK after about 4 weeks and 7 phone calls I finally got my money from Globet.
They were really pretty terrible to deal with - never replied to emails - but finally it only took a couple of calls to their accountant before they sent me the full amount. I tried to be nice during the whole procedure, which I think helped.
Based on this I'd say a D rating is about right - they eventually paid up but why bother with them when there are so many better out there?
Thanks SBR for your assistance. Next time I'll stick with your A list.
