    BetFair is overall the best
Widest range of markets, and odds at least competitive (after commission) with any other book
Can place orders at desired odds to be matched later
    Can place lay bets
    Limited only by available liquidity
    Prompt fee free withdrawals

You're going to get a wide variety of answers. It's like asking what people like better, McDonalds or Burger king. So many people like different options it's tough to say which is the best.

You might want to give us a post listing the things YOU would like in a book and I'm sure a few of us will throw some suggestions at you.

I bet most NFL, NCAA, and MLB, so the best lines on those are important. Free payouts are nice, credit card deposits are a must, good customer service a plus. Things like that.

well that does change things quite a bit
for US sports generally you will find Matchbook a better option than Betfair
but if you reside in the US you may have a problem with credit card deposits and the cost of withdrawal
if, however you live in a genuinely free land then you will probably not have a problem
I use Moneybookers rather than credit cards and withdrawals are fast and free

Take it from an old pro!

There is NO competition for the #1 spot.
            And, that Book is Matchbook!
            Bargain's galore from Matchy.

Number 2, just might be BetPhoenix? And, I say, forget the bad publicity about BetPhoenix, unless it has been proven, or BP admit's a mistake?
I see they get slammed on this forum time after time. My guess on that would be, "hell has no fury like a bettor who loses his arse?"
And, who else will offer you a 5c line besides BP?

Number 3 is up for grabs between several Books!

              Id say 5dimes...

Never had a problem with them, a lot of options for betting, and very good payout options too. Live bets and prop bets are very nice too.

Matchbook and 5 dimes. Can usually find the best prices at Matchbook. 5 dimes covers you with the bets that Matchbook doesn't have. More variety. Credit cards will be a problem.

                  In order in my opinion

                  Pinnacle
                  Matchbook
                  The GREEK
                  Heritage
                  Betjam
                  5dimes

Cant go wrong with any of the above.

                        1) Matchbook - If you just place straight wagers, the best by far.
                        2) The Greek - best website, props, fast payouts, good customer service, secure, etc...

Debit/Credit card deposits may or may not go through at either one, depends on the card.

Betfair is not good for straight betting because of Premium Charge thing. I suggest BF for traders/scalpers. But if you're a soccer bettor, it's always good to have.

The only disadvantage about 5dimes is, they open Reduced Juice lines a little bit late! It's 7 AM in the morning and I can't use Reduced Juice!!

                              c'mon!
This Premium charge thing, bad as it is, is a bit of a red herring here. Only one in a thousand have to worry about it. Ordinary punters don't have to bother about it.

you carry on about Betfair's premium charge but the only thing you can say against 5D is lateness of reduced juice?!!!

                                how about reduced limits?!!!

                                no such problems at Betfair

want reduced juice? ... go to Betfair or Matchbook or even Pinnacle

5-Dimes has it all if you play $500 or less. Ironic that their name implies 10x more--I guess everyone exaggerates on the internet. They should change their name to 1-Nickel.

my dictionary says a dime is 10 cents so 5 dimes is 50 cents!
seems reasonably appropriate .. a bit like Bet$3.65

You need several. That's the only way to cover all bases. Do the research and build your own 'superbook', by selecting the options that you want. Others can't answer that question for you.
