#37I would think so, though I think most unfortunately do not make offers. Can't see the liquidity without folks making significant offers. Markets are very hit and miss. Still eminently worth having as an out, but at times disappointing as well.Comment -

For serious handicappers lots of whom like to bet early, Matchbook is of no value since they have nothing early on any sport.
Matchbook has carved out its niche and doesn't seem keen on or is unable to grow beyond that.
We already guarantee to beat their best line so you can't even argue they have the best line anymore.Comment -

#40Of course, liquidty will be good when you got only 1 baseball game on the board
Hockey liquidty is horrible. NCAAB and NBA Totals will be bad too.
But still, Matchbook is a must-have exchange. You can find many arbitrage (surebet) opportunities every week.Comment -

#41I don't think Matchbook is sure what they want to be. They really are not interested in recreational players, they dont offer parlays, teasers, props and are good for only NFL, MLB, some NCAA, and only when betting close to game time. All other sports are basically non existent on Matchbook.

#44max- do you think anyone who doest have parlaymakers as an out is a fool? i just dont know enough about you guys (from 3rd party sources). like you make it sound great and all but i dont know anyone personally that has used you and gotten paid and have not read too many testimonials on forums or endorsements by sites like sbr. im intrigued yet skeptical at the same time.
Value wise, with the same lines and selection as Pinnacle, the reward program, the exchange offers and best line guarantee, I would say it is a must out.
The biggest concern for new users is reliability and getting paid. On that front, we pay instantly out back to your ewallet after every wager is graded. You don't have to request it, it happens automatically after every winning wager. So with complete control over your funds when wagering with Parlaymakers it takes a lot of the normal risk out compared to most online books, especially smaller ones like us.
Also, we are the only book that has an agreement with SBR for binding arbitration on any dispute up to $2500. We state that on the site and offer the SBR complaint form.
One thing we don't have, because we focus on value, is offering big promotional bonuses so a lot of the bonus hunters don't play with us and a lot of forum posters are primarily bonus hunters.
I would say we are the one must have out if you are looking for a low juice book.Comment -

So that basically leaves a few other places at times and Matchbook and really only in time periods right before the game starts. The great thing about the guarantee is you don't have to have an account at Matchbook for fear of trying to get a better line because we guarantee to put up a better one.
For our customers who have used it already, it has been very simple...hey live chat, matchbook has +105 on Dallas and I want to bet $350 ...hold please ...ok we put up a line for +106 for $350 ...ok thanks I got it.
We are the only people who guarantee the best line all the time...you can't really get better than that.Comment -

#46and how do i know to trust the ewallet? I got stuck with a decent balance in neteller for many months back in the day. And doesnt the funds back to the ewallet get charged a commison? So on every single winner, there is an extra commision? I forgot about that. For every 100 i win, how much am i charged at your exchange/sportsbook?Comment -

#47I hear what you are saying, but it would be impossible to monitor every line from every sportbook/exchange on every event all the time. We carry the same line as Pinnacle as our base line so that already gives you an idea where we are at compared to most places.

Player A (MB)
Player B (PM)
A 1 wager for 100 to win 100 wins = paid 100 - 1 commission for 99 net
1 wager for 100 to win 100 loses = - 100 -1 commission for -101 net
overall net -$2
B 1 wager for 100 to win 101 (the guaranteed better price) wins= 101 - 2 for being paid back to ewallet for net of 99
1 wager for 100 to win 101 loses = -100 no commission for net -100
overall net -$1
Player A has limited sporting event options mainly NFL and MLB, at times very low limits for wagering, no early lines, no parlays, no teasers, no contests, and no props
Player B has huge selection of events from NFL to third tier soccer leagues, good limits at all times, early lines, parlays, teasers, contests and props.Comment -

It will be so good and I really do hope that they get it done. I do wonder if it will last though. Nowadays PM have instant payouts to moneybookers on request (I have tried this a few times!).... but I can imagine that if a few big hitters join them to use the exchange feature then that could easily put a strain on their moneybookers account.Comment -

#55exchanges are the wave of the future....I believe that online SB's will only exist for exotics, non-strait bets and for anyone who wants to lay down a serious amt of money on 1 or a few games and needs the liquidity
...it's just so obvious, a true exchange is never adversarial to the winning bettorComment -

#59On the site they advertise that you can use the exchange feature commission free until end of 2010. This does of course not guarantee that mb users will get it though! I have been nagging on them on and off and have been told that they are working on it and that they will have an announcement by end of october.

help your site and us to place offers if you are serious
To accept offers requires nothing, and the site looks just like a regular sportsbook. So the base Parlaymakers line is always shown and is always available. If you see the base line highlighted in gold then hover over the highlighted line and the additional exchange offers will be displayed. You always get the best offer available. Any amount of your wager over the offers displayed will be filled by the base Parlaymakers line so there is always liquidity.Comment -

We do state on the guarantee that for exchange offers the offer must be in the normal range for the wager so don't expect to get +200 on a -200 wager with a million dollar limit because you put up one dollar on matchbook.
We are not going to let you abuse the guarantee, since that is what you are asking.Comment
