BetPhonix Wants my Checking account number
Hi, I'm trying to make a deposit by Debit Card and they say they need my checking account number for it to process. Why would it be needed and should I do it?

That's a debit card for the checking account? Nothing strange going on...processor wants an extra layer of verification. If you're uncomfortable send a **.

They probably want to process an instant deposit -- they should be asking for a debit card number, or a checking/routing number, but not both. Very strange.

As much as I despise those lying scumbags at BP, it always cracks me up to see people react with fear and suspicion when a business asks for their bank account number. They always seem to forget that every single time you give someone a personal check, you have given them your bank name and your bank account number. It's really not as dangerous as it sounds.

If your a US player there not processing VI/** (especially debit cards), so they're probably trying to do an instant check. They're either being shady about it or not explaining it to you correctly.

true, but your not sending your rent check to Costa Rica and Nicaragua. You might think twice then huh?

Is this a 1st ever deposit there? I used my debt card in the past there and had no issues or was never asked for checking info. Must be something new.
