Ive been telling people for over a year to stay far away from any book that is run by the corrupt Alex Powers, who last i saw was the GM of Jazz. He is the biggest lying snake weasel in the business and it was only a matter of time before he exposed himself.

I have been trying to withdraw for a couple of months now. I have nearly $8000 in there. I have been trying to contact them via powers@jazzsportsorts.com with no luck, also via there email system online. Anybody got a better way I can get in touch with them. Also does anybody know their governing body like IBAS....

The people that are slowly getting paid, what withdrawl method are you using, moneybookers?

Fill out an SBR complaint form, and have them contact Jazz on your behalf. By the way, you aren't from the Pittsburgh-Morgantown area are you?

I hate to be the bearor of bad news but my advice would be to somehow get a hold of the dishonest scammer Alex Powers and offer to cut a deal with him. Such as if he sends you 4k within a week, you'll forget about the other 4k. Thats what I had to do about a year ago (although it was for a smaller amount). I know its not right but in my opinion receiving 4k is better than 0 and this scam artist will try anything under the sun to avoid issuing payouts.

Good luck bud..I hope Powers doesnt do to you what he's done to me and many others.

Dumb idea, IMO ... likely worst case scenario is that they get absorbed by BetCRIS, which would mean the guy would get his full $8K.

That would be pretty complicated...... their business involved land-based casinos, and a problem with the US Justice department as chronicled earlier this year........ I think they are too poisoned right now for a group like CRIS to step in.

Disagree.

Jazz/ABC have had a fairly decent reputation up until their recent problems.

BetCRIS has taken over a lot of books that had a hell of a lot worse reputation than Jazz (Gamblers Palace, Rich Coast Sports, a half-dozen other ones). In a lot of cases, BetCRIS does it for the good of the industry as a whole rather than purely a profit motive.

And regarding the land-based casinos, BetCRIS wouldn't necessarily want or get those anyway ... those are another story altogether.

Didn't CRIS step in and take on ABc Islands accounts once before, about 7-8 years ago? I can't remember the whole story though, thinking some ABC people restarted the book a short time later. I could be way off though, my memory isn't what it used to be..

No im from the UK, I filed a complaint with SBR over 6 weeks ago, I haven't heard anyhting back as of yet. I have emailed them today to see Ive they have any news for me.
