Sure. Another word is "recreational" or to mean for fun or as a hobby vs. a "pro"

For most books, a recreational player is someone that consistently loses money. A "professional" is someone who wins consistently. Now, for A+ books, you have to win usually a lot over time to be termed a professional and get booted from a recreational book. Just about all will boot ya if you are a steam player.

'Steam' players may be either recreational or professional
Books would mostly consider larger punters who win as pros and smaller players as recreational
Arb players would likely be classified as 'steam' players as would punters who subscribe to popular selection services who all try to get on the same line at the same time.
Then there are those who may be recreational or pros who simply wait for a line or price move and 'steam' it.

From a bookies perspective virtually nothing, both will mostly only bet when you're best price.

Great Tony question. I'd suggest talk to manager "Tony" (he'll fill you in on winning at this book)

Seriously though 1k is no problem.

I doubt $1k p.a would be even be noticed

I expect that you're a far greater chance of being limited if you constantly take their top odds

If you get banned from an A book, you must be one heck of a player

Outright banning is rare unless you have broken the rules but the only A+ book which is unlikely to limit your action is Pinnacle.

all locals and online bookies are the same.. you only find out how good they are when you win. if you are a net loser, they will treat you like a king. take your time, search the forum, and be careful.
