You can access Pinny from an American IP, I know I have done it as recently as 3 weeks ago.

Not much in it. BF appear to have better odds, but factor in commission and potential stealth tax and their odds are probably slightly lower. Good for horse racing though.
betfair payments always next day for me (since the infamous poker day), pinnies within the hour. Would have no problem keeping £40k in either place though tbh.

I know this thread should just die, but just one more thing abt why Pinny is the king and all others are wannabes:

What other book takes this tack when you bet a bad line and want to complain abt the line not being bad, "Sir, if you persist in wanting us to honor what is in our opinion a bad line, we will do so and then send you your balance and close your account. What would you like us to do?" lolol

Nobody does that except the King. I NEVER heard of anyone keeping the bad line bet!! lolol

well I know at least one place where taking a "bad line" will still get you paid no problems every time ..... Betfair

They are definitely A+. Those who can find a way to use them do.

That said, they closed my account seven years ago (Long before they left the US) and have never been willing to tell me why. I only had one account. I never bet a bad line that I know of. I've asked them a dozen times why they closed it.

Here's their response:

Dear Sir,

Your Pinnacle account was closed in 2003 and it not eligible to be opened.

Pinnacle is amazing and definately deserving of an A+ rating. Their low juice lines are worth many thousands of dollars to a lot of people. The only other book that I can think of that matches Pinnacle is SBOBet, for Asian Handicap Soccer bets.

I think OP has a valid point, if there were some book in Khazakstan that was better than Pinny (pays out winnings of $200 million via Neteller in 5 seconds instead of 5 minutes) but only allowed Kazakstanies, Georgians, and Pakistanis to play, would most people here want to see them rated as an A+ book?

Yes, A+ is A+

But what you appear to be overlooking is that the reason Pinnacle doesn't allow Yanks boils down to Uncle Sam's anti-gambling legislation which threatens the owners and employees of the bookmaker.

For most of us Pinnacle is indisputably the best bookmaker in the world and it would be utterly absurd to deny them the top rating because the US doesn't like gambling.

In similar vein, because of Australia's dumb law against online sports betting in play, Betfair doesn't accept online bets from Aussies when an event is in play. Would you say Betfair's rating should be downgraded for that?
