I have asked SBOBET if they also plan to ask for an income proof in future and got the reply:

"...And in regards of "proof of income" those are not part of our KYC documents, and we will not be asking that from you. ..."

some british say for their country
"It used to rule the world but is now a crime ridden police state."

188bet are may be afraid from the authorities-
any big balance can be from a criminal activity.

      If that is the case,
      Sbobet may follow.

Only small things, but for example

        - in live betting they update odds clearly slower than other asian books which could cost them something.
        - they have way less early odds than other asian books, observe for example when they release odds for brazilian serie
A or scandinavian soccer compared to SBO.
        - Their payouts are clearly slower than the payouts of SBO or 12Bet (12Bet has low limits now but still pay out very
fast and I am sure they are financially safe as they belong to IBCBET)

There are some more details which all for their own do not look serious...
i agree with these. as for the payouts, sbo is quite fast, but 188bet is also ok, i receive everything (usually 500$) within 24 hours.
i don't have ibcbet account - is there any value added there?

          [/QUOTE]

Every asian book adds some value (as long as it is safe) because for the different events sometimes one book has the best odds sometimes the other one... so it is good to have the choice. IBC has high limits and should be safe. To get an account there you must get an invitation from someone (you may also ask 12Bet to transfer your account to IBC in case you are a high roller, but then you will lose your 12Bet account) ...

They are just taking the Piss asking for this sort of info

Only Spread betting firms & Credit account bookies could possibly require this sort of info.

In fact I have a William Hill credit A/C & they have never requested such info

Complain to the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Comission. Then when they uphold your complaint (Which I am 99.9% sure they will) Withdraw your balance close your account & tell the prying little gits at 188bet to go to hell

I agree with this subject to one minor qualification. The way legal decisions go these days there is the possibility that a bookie can be held liable when a problem gambler is embezzling from his employer for example to fund his betting losses. So if the bookie sees a player losing heavily and continually finding more money to deposit they could be justified in protecting themselves in this way. IAS did suffer from an instance of this and settled out of court for a significant sum.
