Just an FYI (maybe I spoke too soon on saying Bovada was excellent on payouts).

I requested a $900 payout just before 3pm yesterday. I received the typical email that the transaction was processed (even got a message from Coinbase saying I received Bitcoin). As of this morning the money has not hit my account and still says it is unconfirmed. Normally the money hits my account about an hour after the notification from Coinbase. I realize the message from Bovada says it can take up to 24 hours. It's just never taken that long in the past and it's a bit strange that it's still unconfirmed.

If your wallet can see it as unconfirmed, then Bovada have sent it to you.

Similar thing with me, I got an email that my withdrawal was processed 24 hours ago, but it still shows as "pending" in my crypto wallet. Any idea what that means? Last time when I got the email, it was in my wallet instantly, 24 hours seems like something is odd.

I've sent a deposit this morning 10 hours ago and it hasn't confirmed yet. I'm sure it's coming. Everyone having same issues right now.

Good to know - thanks for clarifying that. Hopefully nothing wrong with it per say, just slow!

Similar here. And still no money in Bitcoin account (still pending). I talked to Coinbase yesterday and they did say it was not the vendor's (Bovada) fault. Sounds like there's been a run on Bitcoin with all the craziness of the stock market and money exchanges. Admittedly, there's nothing like a lack of bonuses and the inability to get a payout to discourage me from gambling. Clearly Bitcoin is not going to be the way to go going forward. As I shop around for different sports books, I'll need to start looking at the different payout methods. I know other than Bitcoin, Bovada only does a courier check that is free once every 90 days. Otherwise it's a $100 charge for that, so clearly you would want to take out withdrawals sparingly since that type of a charge on a withdrawal of $1,000 is a hefty price to pay. Not to mention those international checks typically take a couple of weeks to clear most bank accounts.

You can sell in their marketplace in the community forum. If you have CashApp or Venmo account, it will sell quickly as many sellers don’t have those accounts as many have had them closed, including me.

So I thought my deposit with another book was being held up but turns out the payout I have from Bovada 24 hours ago was not confirmed yet and I tried to then send elsewhere before it had. Now everything is stuck on zero confirmations.

I wrote in their community forum- others having same issues. It looks like it was sent with a fee that was fine- so I'm not sure why there is a holdup. I've had other transactions confirmed. They should be able to rebroadcast it with a higher fee hoping it gets picked up.

Some other guy mentioned his has been unconfirmed now for a few days.

Yes mine is still pending after almost two days now. Pretty annoying.

Yep, and the latest talk is if the company goes bankrupt that money held in cryptocurrency could be wiped out. A 14 day check hold sounds so much better now. We all may be screwed.

You dont own the keys with coinbase. You would be considered a creditor. No reason to hold with them anyways.

We apologize for the wait but it looks like this was due to the recent fluctuation in BTC that has resulted in network congestion.
We’ve also taken measures on our end to ensure this does not occur again.

This is their response on the forum. Lots of others having same issue.

Thanks for the update. Guess in one sense it's good to know there is nothing wrong with my specific withdrawal per say. On the other hand, these fluctuations in price + the effect it has had on the network and so forth are definitely troubling. Hopefully just a temporary thing, all gets cleared up soon.

That said, these sorts of things definitely make people feel less confidence in the system, no doubt.

Bovada community forum- go to their crypto thread. "All categories" "Crypto" and there is a thread "Withdrawal Issue"

US books are starting to accept Bitcoin or pre loaded cards that can be loaded with crypto.

You'll be able to use it on and off shore sooon.

Most banks actually cash International checks into accounts immediately as long as the cusatomer has an had an average balanace larger than the check.

Very rarely do banks send international checks for manual collection as it costs a lot and can take a week or so. They pass the risk over the customer that the issuer will not honor it.

Did they say they have tried that?

I'd also think that if you try sending some of those unconfirmed funds to yourself with a huge fee the entire chain of payments might get mined faster?

Do not hold any money in a Coinbase wallet. You don't need to. Only send there if you intend to cashout right now.

It's lazy and irresponsible to use them like a bank when you can hold you own wallet more securely.

It's lazy and irresponsible to use them like a bank when you can hold you own wallet more securely.
Anytime I've requested a withdrawal with Bovada, I've instantly cashed it out as soon as it's funded to Coinbase (in this case, the funding never hit the account and is in a pending mode). I've never held any money there. If there's a different way to do this, let me know (I'm new to cryptocurrency).

I answered exactly what you said...

"Yep, and the latest talk is if the company goes bankrupt that money held in cryptocurrency could be wiped out. A 14 day check hold sounds so much better now. We all may be screwed."

Don't hold cryptocurrency there... or it's your own stupid fault if they go bankrupt.

And no, we will not all be screwed if Coinbase goes bankrupt.

And I explained my situation. You seem to be talking in riddles. If you don't want to explain how that relates to someone simply requesting a withdrawal and instantly cashing it out, then don't. I'm not looking to talk in circles. I sincerely would like to know what a person is to do in the situation when the money is simply in a pending situation like this. I'm not looking to argue with you.

I am not talking in riddles. Re-read the words in context answering your post I quoted.

But to satisfy you.. yes you have risk for the short time Coinbase controls your funds during your cashout. Again, that is not what you posted though. You talked about HOLDING cryptocurrency there.

I tried to send $50 of the unconfirmed funds to myself at another wallet with a really high fee, then tried normal fee, anything. Nothing will send now.

I still have two deposits pending to other books from this unconfirmed transaction that Im waiting on. Not sure what else to do now.

They just say we are at the will of the miners to pick it up. Yesterday it let me send the unconfirmed funds no problem. Today it failed. Now I'm stuck with 2 deposits to books unconfirmed and cant do anything with the remaining funds till it confirms.

One guy on their forum says he has 2 confirmations now after 4 days. But it seems like all of their payouts are having this same issue.

                                                                  Hello,

We are writing to provide an update regarding your recent Bitcoin withdrawal request. While your payment has been processed by Bovada, you may experience a delay in the delivery of your funds to your wallet.

This delay is being caused by a recent spike in traffic which has caused congestion on the Bitcoin network.
