    BetAnySports declined payout

    Hello,

I've been using BetAnySports for several months now, but after a good winning streak the past two weeks, I decided to withdraw my balance.

They asked for the usual KYC stuff, which I provided and they accepted. They then said my payout is being reviewed by management. When I contacted their live support, they said I would have to wait until I speak with a manager who isn't back until Thursday 5 ET.

In the meantime, I saw my payout was declined today.

I'm just a bit stressed because this was my first ever large withdrawal and now I'm worried why it was delayed for a week with no reason given yet.

Is this usually normal or should I be concerned?

I used to use Justbet (which is the same thing as bookmaker, right?) but I like the sports betting ultra and prime feature on BetAnySports.

I guess I'll have to switch books though once they do pay out though. The stress of what's happening to my withdrawal for a week has been just eating away at me.

No bonus. I did withdraw and verify my account once before, but that was a smaller withdrawal.

so they asked for KYC twice? Once before and it was approved and now again they are asking?

Betting Sports only, or was other action like Casino involved?

Absolutely no casino usage. The only thing I can think that may be possibly frowned upon was that on the sportsbook main, if I bet the max limit, I'd use prime or ultra and they would let me bet more too. But I thought this doesn't really break any terms of use.

I did. After speaking to him, I do think I may be in the wrong although I didn't know at the time. I can go into more detail if I am indeed wrong after everything's settled since I don't want to bash the rep of BAS if the fault lies with me.

Can you give us a hint about what the issue might be? If it's something you might have overlooked, that won't be bashing the book.

I was essentially betting with a friend. Not anything "syndicate-y" but more like us just discussing to wager on specific lines and going in with each other.

If I'm being entirely truthful, on one match said friend also didn't want to wager/risk his own money, but I wagered all the balance on my account so I told him to wager for me (which if I understand correctly, is usually breaking some form of ToU although the manager didn't even mention this, I just don't want to wrong good books even unintentionally. I did call back the manager to admit this part maybe stupidly on my part).

Since there was a 5 win streak with basically carbon-copies of the bets (he wagered more, but the lines were the same), that made them lock the account until I can provide proof of how said friend and I communicated/wagered (such as chat logs), I guess to rule out if it an attempt at betting over the limits or not or if there was any malicious actions.

That wasn't my intent with this thread I just wanted clarification if what I did was wrongful enough for my account/balance to be locked or not.

I'm very upset about the situation since it was a substantial amount and I did think it wasn't a big deal what I did, but if I did break ToU, that's on my end, not the book's fault.

Thanks for the update. It's important that we hear updates from people so that we can keep tabs on the bookies and watch out for ways that we might inadvertently get ourselves into trouble.

Yeah, it sounds like they suspected you of multi-accounting. Glad you were able to demonstrate that you were 2 different people.

By any chance did they say they had a problem with you and your friend sharing / making identical picks in the future?

My friend's in an completely different city, I don't use a VPN, and even all of my wagers (until the recent 5 matches) differed from his. Not to mention the mode I wagered in (Sports Betting Ultra) has no real limit as it's for live-betting. There really is no reason to multi-account to break any limits there...

I'm still told to add the manager to the chat group that I conversate with my friend in, so that they can verify the chat logs for how we communicated in wagering which doesn't really make sense to me, since some of it is over chat logs, some over skype/discord calls, etc. which I obviously didn't keep voice recordings of our conversation since I was under the impression there's nothing wrong with that (for instance, I do the same with said friend on bookmaker on some bets, but there was never any issue there).

If you are betting combined amount above limits regularly, it could be an issue.

If you are both betting exact same amounts each time, like you might be splitting the risk as a joint venture, it can be an issue.

If you are just two guys chatting betting and often taking the same picks, you should be fine.

He said we made the same bets on Ultra for the past 5 lines, then said you're both in the same state, told me to cut the bullshit and be honest. I gave in and admitted he's my friend since I felt like an idiot for initially lying, but after the fact I've been reflecting thinking "so what if we're friends?". I still don't truly know if I'm in the wrong or right here.

It wasn't the exact same amount. We went over our wagers and I literally have 82 wagers placed to his 16, although all recent wagers were the same lines for both of us (and all wins).

The manager wants proof that it was just two guys chatting betting instead of two guys splitting the risk as a joint venture, two guys finding a discrepancy with the odds, etc. but what constitutes proof? Chat logs? Adding him into our Skype/Telegram/Discord group chats with other real-life pals + private personal life information present?

I guess my question at this time is would my best option be trying to resolve it with the manager by providing him as much chat logs in our group chats as possible, filing a complaint (I'd rather not, since the manager I spoke to was actually a cool dude and once I was honest to him he was more flexible in trying to resolve this. I also do hope to use the book again despite currently being suspended from wagering if I can settle this amicably since their platform is otherwise great outside of this incident), or am I in the wrong/should cut my losses, as hard as that is to swallow?

I would send him screen shots of the relevant part of the conversations around those 5 bets he said he is concerned about. And only that stuff.

And then, if you know you have not tried to take advantage of anything, focus on that and ask him to explain where either of you got some advantage from the plays he is worried about. As you don't think you gained anything from it.

Well no, I did gain something from it. This part he didn't mention, but I called him back to be upfront/truthful to him as it's in the chat logs.

On one of the matches, my friend specifically states he doesn't want to wager and that it's a dumb as s#!& bet, but I told him to wager for me and I'd get him back in case of a loss (since I already wagered my entire balance and the deposit time on BTC would take too long). I know for sites such as FanDuel, Draftkings, etc. that action's not acceptable (as in wagering on someone else's behalf).

Just send it and let him decide.

Doesn't sound too terrible to me.

I'd guess many of us here have had a friend place a bet when we didnt have funds available.

Bovada will just want to know you are not involved in anything that is hurting them ongoing. They don't usually look to punish you for one mistake.

Only thing good about BAS is multiple live Parlays. I don't understand why more people don't live bet games AND parlay that with Tom Brady winning the NFC.

Or just watching all NBA games one night and betting every timeout for all games.

same with my dad. they don't close us out cause we live near each other and make identical bets. we are small players and they could care less that we match.

something else is going on, intentional or not.
