Shady move by greek on NFL draft props
Props were originally listed using NFL.com as the grading source.

Yesterday they switched the wording on the props to list ESPN.com as the grading source.

This changed both the LB bet and DE bets(maybe more, those are the two I'm aware of)

A friend of mine caught this change before the draft and got his wagers cancelled, I did not catch the change and now wally is sticking by the ESPN lines.

The email from the customer service to my friend before he got his wagers cancelled said this
Due to updated information, we will be using espn to grade the nfl draft props. Even though it was listed as nfl.com yesterday, the positions were listed incorrectly on nfl.com, so we will be using espn.com
Nice angle shoot by a respected site.

Any word on what other books used who had draft props?

Should have loaded up on this once they changed:

      Apr 22 1:47pm Football - Winner 200.00 to win 760.00 760.00
      1. Football Propositions - 2010 NFL Draft
      General Props
Number of Defensive ends taken in round 1
Under 3½ defensive ends (+380) [winner]

I would have if they hadn't cut my props a few months ago. That's a completely different thread.

ETA: cliffs notes, was warned to keep my account 50/50 on props and sides/totals/etc....kept it more like 80% sides/totals/etc and they still cut me.

I'd be surpised if SBR supported this, seems a pretty clear case of changing the terms of the bet after it was made.

Interesting. I've gotten this warning, barely kept it around 50/50 and kept my limits.

              Two thoughts...

Is once source more accurate than the other?

Did the grading of any props change based on the change of source?

It's pretty hard to complain though if ESPN's source is correct, and NFL is incorrect.

                Define correct.

Players can play multiple positions. They change positions often between college and the NFL. College defenses don't resemble NFL defenses often, etc.

And yes the grading of props did change. My winner would be a loser based on the NFL source. Every other book used NFL.

The 50/50 was the first email I got....after a few months I got a second email accusing me of working with someone else(I wasn't). I took a few weeks off and then realized there was no way I could prove I wasn't working with anyone else. I tried betting the lines a few hours after open but most of the good stuff is gone by then. Finally I just continued betting the NBA props at open and one morning after going 14-1 the night before they disabled my acct for the 3rd time, I called and they asked that I bet no more than $100 on props and no more rebets.

Don't worry I'm not filling out a complaint form.

I posted this more as a reminder to players to keep an eye on things like this. The greek is a very respected book and this is a very sleazy thing to do. Actually the sleaziest part is calling them out on it afterwards and having them ignore the fact that they changed the wager.

                          lol

I got the working with someone else email first, during NFL, I of course wasn't either. Then in January the 50/50 email. I'm not really betting that many props there anymore, but still have full (of their always shrinking) limits.

Yeah players do play multiple positions and yeah they do change positions from college to the NFL but College defenses don't "RESEMBLE" NFL defenses..? What the hell are you watching...??? Running a base 52, a 4/3, a 4/4 a 5/3 or whatever... they all "resemble" each other... Sometimes it's hard to tell... What a goofy statement...

I took Under 4 for DE's and they use NFL.com which is what it should be IMO even though I lost that wager...
