Hope it works out for you. I wouldn't have this problem, because my cash balance is always 0 and it is all in pending balance during march madness.

I had around 7K left in the account. 4Kish was locked up in March Madness futures bets

Guy put in a bunch of crazy bets for yesterday but only lost $183.

Today I logged in (first time since Monday) to see my entire balance except $8 pending and I thought "WTF". I saw a bunch of crazy parlays.

My account is locked and they are going to check the IP address of the various log ins.

This is happening way too often. Bet Phoenix has a major internal problem, and just refuses to admit it. I would seriously remove my money from their account if I were in your situation. Even if they make good, the fact is that your account and all vital information in it has been compromised.

What do you mean? I have never posted my account info. I had a pretty strong password there.

It was either a hacker or an inside job (ex-employee or the like).

Yes, I have already told them to lock my account and that I can't play there anymore. What would be the point of changing my password?

I feel bad for BP (I am assuming they will do the right thing) because I requested a payout a couple weeks back and got paid really quickly. Unfortunately, their software/security is really bad. I obviously have to close my account.

The thing is, they are not trying to steal anything. They are causing grief for customers and destroying BP's business. It sure sounds like a disgruntled EX-employee or teenage hacker.

Edit to add: So yes, I am agreeing with you. Letting the employees have all that info is ridiculous.

Couldent be a hacker look at the motive they could just shut down the site and ask for 50k instead of fooling around with individual accounts. They could be breaking into accounts and dumping the money back to their pockets I would hate to think that.

It could be a hacker. It would just have to be a relatively unsophisticated person, with few resources. For example, how could a teenager living in the US pull off such a blackmail for $50K? It's obviously not an Eastern European organized crime group, but it could be some immature idiot.

Of course, the chance it is an ex-employee is much greater.

I don't think it could be BP themselves. This kind of thing is going to destroy their business. It would be so shortsighted and foolish. It doesn't make any sense for them to do this.

But so far I have nothing but good experinace with BP branding, except for the fact they took Matchbook book to book transfer away, and the $50 per $2k checks.

I disabled my casino access as soon as I read those threads here on SBR. It just occurred to me that this may have saved me a ton of trouble.

WTF are you talking about? Who misplaced their password??? I have accounts at Sportsbook, Matchbook, BetJamaica, 5Dimes, WSEX, BetPhoenix, Olympic and Bodog. I have had accounts at Cris, Pinnacle, and SportsInteraction.

Nothing like this has ever happened to me, and I use very strong passwords.

Even if they knew my password, how would they know my BP account number???

Can you submit a sportsbook complaint so we can verify?

Do you want me to submit a complaint even though they are still looking into it? They said to check back tomorrow.

Nothing like this has ever happened to me, and I use very strong passwords.

Even if they knew my password, how would they know my BP account number???

Taylor, I am asking the guy who said "someone let their password slip".

To you and me it is obvious that this is an inside job, with a tiny chance of a hacker being involved.

I really don't mind this, because any CS is basically looking right at your account. What I would be careful is, when calling in and they want your account + password, I would only call in at home or in my car.

At many companies, the password is hidden from the CS. In other words, even someone who looks in the database will not be able to see the password associated with that account because it is encrypted.

For example, if you call your bank, the people answering the phone can not see the PIN number of your ATM card.

BP has very lax security which requires them to rely entirely on the honesty and integrity of their employees. This is a VERY BAD idea.
