Sportsbooks general policy on using different IP addresses
Do any of you guys know what are the rules tha the book lay on this issue

Somewhere in this forum I read that a player was having problem getting his money from the book because he used more than one computer to make his bets (now I remember... this was mentioned in a Justin7 video)

I am sure there are some books that will use any excuse they can come up with to not pay you. Best thing to do is probably to send an email to the book and to ask them if you can bet from different computers once in awhile and see what they say. Best to find out that way then to try it out and have them keep your money

Hmm... so everyone on dynamic IP is screwed? How about those that bet with their mobile phones when they are on the move?

What's wrong with betting from different IP's?
Two or more accounts from the same IP can possibly get you in trouble, but nowadays a lot of people have access to more than one computer or Internet connection.

I use at least two computers all the time, never had any trouble.

The most recent problem was ID fraud related. The player was making bets from UK, and a couple cities in the U.S. The book thought the player was a beard, and he might have been... but the player is getting paid. There was no hard proof that the player committed fraud.

            re:ip address

when i travel across country, i call and tell my book. don't do it by email. call them. if going overseas, absolutely call. another thing find a good fulltime rep when you call and always deal with that person and only that person so they learn to know your voice. don't give them any possible reason to confiscate your funds. sucks to say, but even the top books will look for anything to accuse you of fraud.

Some European Mobile Internet Providers deal the same IP to their clients! Vodafone do that for sure!
That's why the bookmakers think that these users are fake.

At one point I was living in New York, working for a company in the LA-area and a company in the UK and connecting to their servers all the time, so I'm sure I made bets from a New York, LA, and UK IP address in the span of a few hours. In retrospect I'm kind of lucky that no book ever tried to screw me on this IP address nonsense despite me always being completely legitimate. Years ago I watched football games with a buddy of mine who had an SIA account. I didn't ask him to set up the SIA account or anything like that-- I knew him from local poker games and he happened to mention having an SIA account to bet sports. So sometimes I'd place bets from his computer, and I'm probably lucky SIA never tried to accuse my buddy of being my beard or vice versa.
