    Moneybookers question
Hi, can I relate this Moneybookers question to Neteller. My home currency is GBP, but my Neteller base currency is USD. This is so I can move USD all around the offshore world without having to pay currency conversion costs every time I move money between Neteller and sportsbooks. The only time I pay conversion costs is when I withdraw USD from Neteller to my GBP bank account.

Would the same thing be possible if I join Moneybookers, do they let you determine the currency of the account?

    Yes, it is.

I am canadian and do the same thing as you. My moneybookers and sportsbook accounts are all usd and I only convert to cnd when i send everything back to my bank. If you really want to get a good deal on your exchange, set up a usd account at your british bank, and then negotiate a special rate for exchanging large amounts of currency. This should save you about 1.5-2% of th amount you are exchanging in fees.

This is good advice and absolutely correct.

Citibank allow you to operate parallel GBP and USD accounts and move money between them at interbank rates. There is quite a high minimum blance requirement though.

Citibank is extremely anti-gambling especially within its retail banking model. Stick to Moneybookers. Its safe, easy to use and utilized by most sportsbook globally.

Not just Euros. Multiple currencies. Notably USD, the currency in question.

I was referring to Citibank UK and as a means of funding/withdrawing from Moneybookers.
