I just saw on the homepage that Matchbook was downgraded from an A- to a B. I've been out of the loop a bit with things concerning Matchbook and what's been going on with them. Anybody know the reason?

#3Anyone who sends money to Any offshore sportsbooks should have there head examined. They control when they feel like paying you. They hold your money and charge you a kings ransom to withdraw it. Find your self an agent who can get you into all the top tier books and you will not have to deal with the nonsense.

#4i'd really like to know whats going on with matchbook. A few weeks ago the story was they were taken over by new owners??? never really heard who. never was clear on who owned it in the first place(wsex or whoever). And now a downgrade without explanation. It would be nice if SBR staff, in the know, would enlighten us as to what all the recent changes entail and the reasons for the downgrade.Comment -

#103 transcactions is shit when they count deposit and withdrawals and u can only withdraw $2500 at one time...
this is so ****ing bad, why not just put a 2time rollover on every deposit and let ppl deposit and withdraw as much as they want...
betfair is so much better then matchbook on everything else then the commissionComment -

#15MB is not backed by WSEX.
Its the end of the football season. Forum owners want sportsbooks to continue to pay them during the off season. The sportsbooks that say no, sometimes get the downgrade. Its bogus but SBR is a for profit business. They are going to protect sportsbooks that pay them foremost.Comment -

#20WSEX does stand by Matchbook. That comes from WSEX themselves. It's a parent sportsbook relationship. The problem is the parent sportsbook hasn't been at the A level for a while and processing continues to be an issue as football winds down. That's withdrawal season. Matchbook is trying some new more aggressive things with their business plan leaving SBR to consider bringing the two ratings more in line as we see how things work out. It's going to be a big couple of months for WSEX and we hope to do some rating upgrades for both after they service players at a high level at the close of season.Comment -

#25If you need more than 12 transactions per month, I'd say - one you shouldn't be betting offshore and 2 no book would really want you anyways.
I mean come on - these people are not banks, moving money is a royal pain in the ass for books, and they dont need players who want to move it 4 times/week.
I've had money at Matchbook all football season and I've made a total of 4 transactions - deposit, transfer to greek, transfer to greek, transfer to 5dimes.
Why would any book want someone who is making 2-3 withdrawals every week?
Seems like business to me.
I should add each transfer was sizeable and done in under 30 minutes.Comment -

Now Bill for a birthday present could you be kind enough,
and look once and for all for the love of god into that betmaker situation and maybe ask Richardson to let us know what is going on?Hardly any of the bets there are ever matched, even for the NFL!
Also bill could you ask the excellent Richard from BetPhoenix to update us on the exchange they are planning to open.
