    Pinnaclesports ends with bonuses
Finally they stopped giving away money to bonus whores. I hope other bookies will join. The bonuses are killing sportbooks and thus also bettors balances.

This is an e-mail sent to affiliates:

Pinnacle Sports is extensively known for offering outstanding value on the widest range of sports available at any online sportsbook; as a result we have been focusing our campaigns on messages that reinforce our key brand characteristics, which are competitive odds, consistent value to the player and the best prices available anywhere online.

As a part of our continued effort to differentiate ourselves from our competitors, we will discontinue the new player deposit bonus effective 23:59 PST on Sunday 1st November 2009. Any new player funding their account after this date will no longer be entitled to receive a signup bonus.

The new changes will offer positive opportunities for affiliates across all regions and result in long-term benefits, which include:

      * Reduced affiliate promotional costs.
      * Increased player conversions by attracting more qualified leads.
      * Higher player retention rates with the renewed focus on product and pricing.
      * Acting as a deterrent to bonus hunters and scammers to reduce ********** costs.
      * Increased commissions earned over the life of each player.

The long term savings that our odds provide far outweigh the short term allure of any new player incentive. We believe this is the continued reason for our industry leading player conversion and retention rates that you now enjoy as a valued affiliate.

Instead of competing in a bonus race, Pinnacle Sports aims to effectively distinguish itself in the marketplace by further emphasizing our unique price advantage, with a firm focus on delivering these outstanding margins in more sports and more markets than ever before.

After all, Pinnacle is probably the only book that can afford it.

Lucas, your statement is certainly NOT from a players point of view.

yes, it is from players point of view Magnavox - it is long term point of view
Maybe you are right, and pinnacle is the only one who can afford this, but I hope more bookies will join and finally cut the crazy bonus races. My hope is that one day the bookies will be maybe more concerned about odds and not marketing. Right now the hoax about bonushunting is crazy. People make new and new identities just to scalp bonus with big minus points, but they do not care... if they take 25% of it with some brutal method... who cares?

But I care. I do not care about bonuses, I care about odds and limits. Now everywhere I go, they suspect me of being bonus whore. And bookies really are killed with bonuses. I, as player, would happily live in the world without single bonus.

Yes - in the beginning it helped me a lot to build bankroll. But can whole earth live from betting? Someone must cook my beer and repair my car, damn!

I have never taken a bonus from any book.

Its just not worth the hassle for the serious bettor.

Even when you do not take bonuses, the bonuses kill the hand that feed you. It would be nice to return on Earth. Bookies must make money, then we can make money.

After 10 years of betting I had used 6 fake accounts to ab(use) their bonus.

I guess others have used hundreds of accouts to abuse their bonus.

Thats why I can understand their decision to stop this bonus.

                    Good decision Pinnacle!

Don't be naive. Marketing will always be one of the most important things. In any bookmaker company, when you stop with marketing, you are losing clients. That's how our world works. Anyway, I wouldn't be worried about bookies spending their valuable time for "marketing" and bonuses. At least with bigger bookies, marketing is completely independent.

Pinny gave a first time bonus that's it. And a 10% bonus isn't worth chasing generally. If they end it, it won't affect me in the least. Matchy never gave a bonus that I'm aware of and I play there. Phoenix I only got involved in because they gave me 100% free play up to 3K. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have opened an account there.

                              I highly doubt that.

It's not a big deal. They will not lose customers at all. Only newbies take sign up bonuses and they rather go to other bookies, not 10% only. I have never used fake accounts to take bonuses because it's just not worth if you get caught.

It's only a joke Moonie. It appears cold hearted or selfish that you would get it and then be happy that others cannot.
