I just opened a new account at BetPhoenix over the weekend. Things were going well, until today. First off, I know that several other books were having the same issues with the DDOS, so that was annoying, but it did not kill me.

Anyways, I deposited $150 into my account, and received $150 as a free play. I, as well, received a $25 free play bonus for signing up through Covers.com. That has become more of a thorn in my side than a free bet. I will get to that later.

So with the $150 free play, I place wagers, and lost. I had also placed several wagers with the $150 that I had originally deposited into my account. With that, $75 was placed on the over on the Saints / Eagles game. I had a total of $140.22 in my account, which includes the $75 wager amount. So with that $140.22, I placed a parlay of $110.22 on tonight's Dallas ML + the Over.

While that was going on, my stupid ass decides to win a parlay with that $25 free bet. Total won, $1223.50. This all was placed from a "Free Play" account, and the winnings were placed into an "Available" account. Unfortunately, this account also includes winnings from so called real money winnings. This is important because if you see in their rules, it states that their rollover on bonuses is bonus winnings + bonus. So, in my case, I would have had to wager over $7200 just to pull out the max of $200 that is what I can pull out from free play winnings.

I, of course, chat with two incompetent, rude agents on the chat feature, one of whom tells me that it includes the deposit amount as well. And, since the money goes into one account, the "available" account, free play winnings and real money is mixed together into one account.

In my case, I just lost the $110.22 because the Cowboys defense sucks (haha, just squeeze lemons into the wound that Bet Phoenix just opened), but I have $30 left from the parlay that I won with real money (ticket number 13655619-1). Guess where that is? I don't know either. They say it's in my account, but guess what again, if I wanted to bet that specific $30 on something, I don't know if I'm using that $30, or money from the free play winnings. Also, if I want to take that $30 out, I have to rollover $7200+, according to the very intelligent chat agent, Margie.

Now, I have to place in this account, just for fun, and wave bye to my $30 that is lost somewhere. Margie says its in there in my "available" account. The thing is, I placed everything in my account on bets tonight, and had $1.50 left in my account, meaning my $30 went somewhere. But, apparently, after I won a bet on the 1st quarter over 7.5, I had money in my account, and guess what, the $30 is just there. Wasn't doubled, minus juice, it just appeared.

So on top of all the confusion, I chat with Margie, and so-called supervisor, Alex, and they do nothing. Obviously, customer service is not Bet Phoenix's forte. I've been in customer service for a very long time, and if you have an irate customer, you do not continue to throw lighter fluid on the situation.

Anyways, I'm just telling anyone who reads this, and anyone who is looking to open up an account with Bet Phoenix that it is not worth it. Don't even bother winning money on a free play, or else your money is locked up forever. Chatting with them is quite a chore, as they like to answer questions before they are completed, and without even knowing what you are asking them.

I am going to chalk up my remaining $30 as a loss, and I'm going to tell any person who even is thinking of opening up a Bet Phoenix account to go elsewhere. Thank you for listening, and I'm not a new bettor either (been doing this for over 10 years now, using strictly online books). I only signed up because of the contests that Covers.com was running.

95% of peoples complaints on here (SBR, not this thread) are about bonuses. I wish we could go back to the days of just very simple and straight forward bonuses. Books are really starting to push the envelope with the bonuses and the fine print...
