Fees do look higher than normal right now.

https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ says $6.50 for a standard 1 input transaction.

If you have sent the entire balance of your wallet it could have included some 'dust' and used multiple inputs and needs a higher fee too.

Fees are too high right now for a btc transaction. Go with a book that accepts Litecoin.
