    Question about PPH books
Hey Opti, Crushrrr or anyone else, I had a question about PPH (probably a stupid one).

If I sign up for one of these (as a US customer here) and give them a try is the person who actually pays me and books my action going to likely be someone nearby?

I guess In other words do they match me with someone in my state near my address? Or would the “bookie” more likely be somewhere else? (Different town, state, maybe country, etc)

I guess I don’t really like the idea of someone a few miles away from me knowing my business. The old “local bookie” was okay in college but don’t really like the idea anymore.

That said I was thinking about trying one of the PPH and grabbing one of the nice bonuses.

    Thanks for any info!

Unless they are a local with a book of local customers and reputation why would you want to use? My Local guys are at the poker games and OTB's meet only to settle if $200 up or down PLUS i see them all the time. They offer crap service outside of the cash. Lower llimits and max 3 team parlays on my guys PPH software. All it ends up doing is a chase game if your down. I tell my guy my credit limit $500 per month and never ever increase it or may get stiffed....

I don't know if this is answering your question, but...

The people that I know IRL who use PPH books are really just betting through a local bookie. Instead of calling the local and telling the bookie what they want to bet, they log into the PPH site and bet that way. All the local bookie does from the bettor's end is handle deposits and payoffs. Whatever deal the local has with the PPH site I don't know.

As far as I know you can't just sign up and deposit at a PPH book, but I could be wrong.

        I hope that helps.

I guess I’m just not too familiar with PPH.

I’m in a state where I don’t see sportsbooks being legalized anytime soon.

So I was looking to other options.

I see some people posting here about books that I mostly haven’t heard of that have real good bonuses and others saying “they are another PPH.”

I was able to create an account at a couple of these books but haven’t funded yet.

I was just wanting to learn more about how they operate.

Many are/can be fly-by-night operations and scams. If they can get 100 people to deposit $50,000 total they can take deposit after deposit and not pay people. It's important to only use reputable ones that you may have seen here or being shared on social media from legitimate sources/people.

Or, you use a PPH as others have said because you deal with someone locally that runs it. It's like using a bookie, but instead of them operating everything, they are essentially "agents" and manage your account, promotions, deposits/payouts, etc.

Yeah, PPH's are supposed to be for managing the wagering between a local human bookie and you, the player. You find the human bookie who then gets you set up with an account on the site. It's not supposed to work the other way around - the PPH site is just a dumb platform. If you find a "PPH" where you can sign up for an account without going through a bookie, or agent, then I'd stay far away. It's too easy for these Twitter books to fold up shop and pop up somewhere else under a different name, or just ghost you.

I don't think you'll ever know the true idendity or location these days if you are online with a PPH. I get different names and numbers from people claiming different PPH sites all the time. Sometimes it's a Texas number, Cali, Vegas, it's all over the place. I wish the dimecrypto theives were local and I knew where to find that agent.

Let's put it this way - you have the order of operations wrong

You meet someone locally that you trust, then you join the PPH site through said person. Not the other way around

Actually that's not the case. There are tons of yahoos out there offering accounts via social media.
