When will they grade who will win the Presidential Election bets? Still waiting to get an answer. All the networks minus Fox have called it.

#3Yeah they finally replied to me and said whenever the lines managers deem appropriate. That could be whenever. Trump stands a snowball's chance in hell of this being overturned so they should grade this bet like other books already have if they want to be the leaders.Comment -

#4For reference:
BOL graded my IOWA, TEXAS and OHIO state bets on Thursday. NEVADA and popular vote bets still not graded.
Intertops hasn't graded anything for me yet not even Texas.Comment -

#7My state bets have been graded but presidental election bets are the ones I'm waiting on. They better not pull the let Trump file numerous BS challenges first. This would amount to an appeal being made after the game. Statistically, he has lost the election and is grasping for straws.Comment -

#8You also might be able to find a clue what their plans are by how the bet was worded. If it was something like "To win the election," those should be graded any time now. If it was worded "To be the next President," they may be waiting until Inauguration Day.Comment -

Update: Intertops graded Texas and the popular vote bets for me today. Have not graded the Biden win yet. Looselines also graded the popular vote but BOL hasn't as of now.Comment -

#10Good point. I checked and it says to win the Presidental election at BOL. I have a feeling they are going to wait until Trump exhaust his legal challenges before paying out. BS if that's the case but it's offshore.Comment -

#11Technically Biden has not won the election yet. The media is not the deciding factor. There are recounts scheduled for a few states and those take over a week. Books would be wrong to payout now. It would be like them paying out a baseball bet because one team is up 10 to nothing but it's only the 8th inning. Biden will probably win but it's far from official.Comment -

#13how would you guys grade this? or should it still be pending? this is my bet- the use the word official not projected: December 1 to 14 (+4500)
When will the presidential election be called? (Winner), Both Fox News and CNN Must have the same person officially declared the winner.Comment -

#19Ace’s analogy is probably best. This is like an over bet that has won but the game isn’t technically over yet. Obviously books can pay it out if they want, but the results aren’t official yet.
I would think anyone who bet should have seen this coming if it wasn’t a landslide win.Comment -

#22The correct ANALOGY is a game that already went over the total but was postponed and will resume at an unknown date, possibly months away. Just grade the penetrating wager.
No way this is overturned.
Or, better yet, offer bettors a CASHOUT option like 99% on Biden wagers, 1% on Trump wagers.Comment -

With that being said, if anyone bet the election expecting to be paid out quickly, they're out of their minds. Trump has been promising not to accept the results and take things all the way to the Supreme Court for a month now. Everyone needs to relax and be patient. Preserve your sanity.Comment -

#26The difference here is that in 2000, the Florida count was within the range which a recount could feasibly overturn. Recounts never affect things more than a few hundred votes in either direction. This election is over.

#27Not so fast....
BOL would probably be better off just cancelling the Presidential wager. This will get messy and if any fraud is uncovered it would mean a potential re-election or major deduction in the fraudulent candidates favor.
If this is reversed, I'm not sure how the other books would get monies back.
Law states that the DOJ can get involved after the tenth day after election and this is where the red tape begins.
I think most bean counters at books are seeing/Thinking how does one candidate appear to be loosing, then suddenly goes up like a Bernie Madoff investment portfolio chart. This Cries fraud and this I think is the hesitation, but if I owned a book, I'd declare the USA a bananna Republic and never offer another election again.Comment -

I'd want to be paid now and would not think appeals or over turns should have any effect on that market..Comment -

Could be in the next days if Trump concedes or getting dragged out til January. I wouldn't pay out now either if I was the books. But don't worry, you'll get paid out on Biden, it might just take a while. But it has been known for weeks this was a likely scenario.Comment -

#32That's actually a great question. I looked it up long time ago, but an actual process exist to determine a U.S. President.
It's roughly something like this; After 10 days and irregularities exist the DOJ can open a criminal inquiry and from this point the ending is wide and varied. I remember reading even if a little fraud took place the entire election can be voided and Supreme Court can rule for a new election.
This has the potential of being a major disaster for the books. I'd cancel and make a statement to the effect that the U.S. needs to get shit together and Recon book will no longer offer U.S. politics till they get out of the Banana Republic status.Comment -

The latter option would be very bad for a lot of books. Many books have already paid out most political wagers. I had political wagers at 6 different books. 3 of those books have graded all my wagers and 3 of those books have graded some (bol being one of them).Comment -
