BOL & SB blackjack tournaments is at worst a scam, at best a waste of time
Current Mother's Day blackjack tournament promo comes with "$150,000" in prizes.

Even if you win, funds are credited as casino bonus with 50x roll. The only casino game contributing 100% to roll is slots. Roulette is only 20% and blackjack 10%.

On top of that, every time these tournaments begin there is always a leader or two who has an astronomical win rate. Currently the #1 player has a balance of $144,000. Second place is half that. Since max bet is $5000, this is quite the run. Mathematically, this is an incredible outlier. The odds of starting with $500 and turning it into $144,000+ are in the neighborhood of 1 in 160,000. So far it looks like there are 500-1000 entries only.

To sum up, with the highest prizes being unattainable, what's left is a chance at $1000 in bonus which would have a $500,000 rollover if you tried to clear it playing blackjack. You can guess how much of that $1000 you'll end up keeping. Or it's a 50,000 rollover with slots: it'll be gone in a few spins.

Overall, this promotion is a disgrace to mothers everywhere!

Thanks for posting this. I've spent a lot of time on these tournaments and didn't know about the rollover BS. I did well in one tournament 3 days ago and haven't received my payoff... now the delay bothers me less since I have no shot at rolling it over with slots.

How do you come up with 1 in 160,000? That seems way off to me.

That's definitely off. Blackjack has a small house edge. And I think you can bet up to 5,000 chips in 3-5 spots in those tournaments.

It's not implausible that someone will run up their stack to 300x starting stack each time; the odds might be closer to 1 in 400 or 1 in 500. Plus BetOnline gives every single account one free entry into these things, so you have a ton of broke diks taking a free shot at it.

That part aside, the blackjack tournament prizes indeed have a horrendous rollover and you should stay away for that reason!

You might be right. I haven't gone back in but I based it off 5000/square with only one square. If it's 5000 per square up to 5 squares then it's definitely possible.

The odds of turning $500 in to $144,000 in real play are zero. Tournament I can see, but no way in hell in real play. Software won’t let it happen. Is this DGS casino software? Maybe in real time gaming software. BOL has been scummy for years.

i've hit 2000 twice and 1000 once, havent cleared a dollar lol. the rollover is impossible. its good to pass the time and just for competitions sake but don't expect to see a penny unless you get VERY lucky during the roll.

The guy at 144,000 I guess felt some heat with a few people getting close to him and ... has increased his winnings to over 300,000. lol.

Something very rogue going on, gentlemen.
