How do we know SIMs games are legit?

Has SBR done any kind of checking on this with their sponsors like Bovada or Bookmaker? What is their relationship to the streamers?

I am not saying I do not trust them, but it does make me suspicious that they only allow you to be on their designated channels.

I feel like this is something SBR should be able to verify for us.

Otherwise why wouldn't they just record a couple outcomes and play the one that favors them?

This whole "oh they pause it sometimes thing" is not proof enough for me. You could easily have a plant in the chat who knows when to ask for it. They do not respond to every request in chat to pause it.

I think this kind of betting is going to become more popular as these simulations become more realistic. Even when sports resume. So something worth talking about.

It's not going anywhere even when sports come back. It's pretty popular already and it will find traction in offseasons. It has potential to do things "real sports" can't. Like change game settings (always go for it on 4th down!), pit Michael Jordan against Lebron James, etc. This thing is going to only get more popular, just watch.

People play in casinos when they know its random too, but they still want assurance that the cards aren't rigged. Surely, there could be a standard decided upon that could prove these are not pre-recorded and are actually random simulations. SBR supposed to be the watch dog of the community. If we're not going to talk about it, then who is. Basically giving sportsbook free reign at this point to take advantage of people if they want.

How about a second channel that's a just a camera pointed at the console/computer from ten feet away where you can see the game being started and make sure there is no funny business.

Besides that, they would need access to API so they can monitor there is no code changes in meantime as updates in these simulations are everyday..
Noone likes the word impossible but I really think at this moment there is no solution for monitoring it and making sure it's fair.

Books could all use the same stream. Takes away most of the incentive to cheat the players. If it plays out like sports do, some books will have exposure on one side, and some books on the other based on the lines they hang. The way it stands now with a 1-1 relationship between book and stream, it's very easy for them to just lure money on one side and then let the outcome play in their favor. Could that 1 channel potentially be bribed by one sportsbook to play what suits them? Sure. If they want the other books to send some guys to kill them.

Time will tell. I think something like what I mentioned will happen in the next few years. Books are incentivized to do. Players already are questioning some channels and choosing to sign up with books they trust more to bet on these games. And if it's not popular why are so many books providing this service? There must be some overheard costs and risk associated with doing so.

And if you think betting on these is much different than betting on real sports, you'd be wrong. People always have angles to find just like in real sports. Maybe you figure out some NBA2k team's bench players are stronger than others, and take advantage in live betting. You just need to be smarter than the hive mind to profit, just like on sports.

No it's not simple. Maybe you are. Every type of gambling went through these stages. I think it could be fun to bet on if we could make it more trustworthy like other forms of gambling evolved to be. This is not the saloon I posted this in sportsbook forum looking for a discussion on how it could be made more fair. And asking if SBR has any knowledge of what the deal was with these streams are.

I was hoping to get some response, like "yeah we talked to them and it seems they've made steps to be fair to the player". Not "no we dont give a shit it's impossible" (it's far from impossible). Yes after that response I do find it hard to trust betting on these streams, and I'd advise people to stay away until they sort that out. Do you really think the books have our best interests in mind, knowing that the "watchdog" doesn't give two craps?

I actually enjoy it I’m 3-0 betting 50 Mac but it beats no action. Plus I feel I have a better shot than slots.

You get to look at the pitching matchup you get to look at the lineups. Certain pictures seem to be pitching better than others during this type of a computerized game. This is actually an opportunity here and I’m enjoying it. If you think it’s a waste of time you think it’s possibly rigged, then obviously don’t even touch it I enjoy it. I’m glad they have it.

You are comparing the roll of a dice to a video game ? A roll of a dice is going to give you a fair chance and not be rigged . Unless the die is weighed to roll a certain number which is rarer then betting on a simulated video game of any kind that can be rigged a ton of different ways. The point is if i have to bet my life savings i would 100 out of 100 times bet it on a roll of a dice then some Madden video game that they can before the game even starts decide who they want to win that particular game.

Maybe as you said above the better books will play it fair. But my point was a larger bet like if i went nuts and bet $5000 if they know before the game even starts that there is a bet like that they can easily make me lose and i would never be able to prove it.

I see no problem with doing it for shits and giggles. Just to pass some time a small amount. I am talking about anyone doing it with larger amounts . If you ever seen my threads i go all in . If i worked it up from say $380 to like even $4000 or so i would be terrified that they would do something to make me lose. You’re very mistaken on how long it’ll be around. Online casinos are around and everyone knows those are not legit. I think he brings up a fair point but SBR did not care about the players during their betislamds ripoff job so his only mistake was asking if SBR knew more. You won’t come out and say it but the value of people on here for SBR is that they bet with books you guys get money from and that others donate to your charity links to ease your tax burden. Since books aren’t making as much money right now if you guys asked or announced that books were ripping people off then they would just pull their money to you and you guys would fall. SBR has always been a books site before anything else. You only go hard against the books that won’t give you money to make it look like you watch out for the player
