iDebit stiffed me for 3k... TheGreeks involvement (CANADIAN)
I've had betting accounts for 3 years. Always funding those accounts via InstaDebit, iDebit because I'm Canadian. 2018-2019 was different for me, I've upped my roll to a couple thousand at a time, so I had transactions limits on my accounts that weren't the highest, so I decided to side with iDebit because it gave me a $3,000 7-day transfer limit, which was the highest for me.

Discover the magic of the internet at Imgur, a community powered entertainment destination. Lift your spirits with funny jokes, trending memes, entertaining gifs, inspiring stories, viral videos, and so much more from users.

Note: He says InstaDebit, but iDebit was working again also.

2/18 - I request a withdrawal via The Greek, for 3k. They proceed to tell me that the iDebit merchant is giving problems at the moment and is unavailable right now. Ok cool. I'll try again tommorow. I try again tommorow, same story. Since I got no answers I headed to twitter and messaged the Greek on there. He/She quickly replied to me, so I told him my story. He is very helpful and quickly resolves it for me. All of a sudden you can finally use iDebit! That caught me off guard, and seemed super shady. Anyways, they went ahead and withdrew 3k for me (I think they were mad because I hit a +1200 dog with couple hundred on it). If I hadn't messaged him on twitter I believe I would still be waiting for it to this day. I go ahead and withdraw the money to the iDebit wallet.

2/19 - Takes 24 hours to get on my iDebit account, so I see the funds there, I go ahead and withdraw to my bank, $3,000.

2/26 - 7 business days go by, I've been constantly checking on it, nothing. Status : Pending still. I go ahead and call them and leave an email with their security team because apparently no-body out of them can speak.

2/27 - Status changes to "Successful". Ok, thats all fine and dandy, I go to check my account? Nothing in it. I speak with my bank, they say that if there was a *************** coming in they would be able to see something. Nothing.

Over the years, I've withdrew from iDebit about 40/40 times with 0 problems. The first time I use the Greek and withdraw from them I run into a whole lot of problems. Whats the deal? The Greek seemed so sketch at first, I should of new the signs were there. Did The Greek bounce their check?

My only hope is the waiting game now. I think the Greek did something fishy to me because I crushed them and also crushed them with a +1200 dog which I don't think they liked and gave me issues with withdrawing at first.

I will keep you all posted here for tommorow. Banker also told me if there is nothing in the account tommorow, there is definitely a problem on iDebit's end. I've emailed them and still waiting.

What a headache. Something fishy up with that book.

The Greek isn't going to stiff you because they are mad you hit a +1200 dog. Now that that is out of the way, both Instadebit and Idebit were down at the Greek for over a week, there is a thread in this section about Instadebit being down but both wallets were down during that time. I would almost guarantee that your issue stems from that issue that they had with their Canadian e wallets. If your money is missing in cyberspace, work with the Greek instead of labeling them as 'fishy' and you will have a better chance of finding it.

Greek is as solid as they come. Not sure I have ever seen a legit complaint against them. I'm sure you'll get it squared away. Shit happens.

And you are attacking them after you chose a different method than you were told to?

As everyone above said, you don't have to worry, The Greek won't stiff you.

But I have to say, I'd shed no tears if you did lose your money for not following instructions, and then attacking them with a Stiff allegation as your thread title.

Ok, that's good to hear. I just started using them and felt it was a bit shady how that all went about. I met another guy he had withdrew using idebit to only have his transaction status labelled as "successful", but no funds in his account, same scenario as me. Has anyone else been having issues? My biggest concern about the successful status on idebit is they might tell me they sent the money already but it's ultimately lost. I'm with TD and the headquarters are in Ontario also. Don't know how that could be an issue!

          Cheers

That's good to hear. The issue now is from idebit to my Bank. Pretty worried now. Anyone else having idebit/instadebit issues?

The scary part is that on the 12th I withdrew an additional 3k with no problems

Instadebit is great... but I have a smaller limit od 300 on there. Idebit had me at 3,000 so I started using them more often

Oh ok. Well I've never used idebit but instadebit has never been a problem.

iDebit/Instadebit are the same company but use different methods for funding. iDebit logs in directly to your bank acct through online banking and transfers the money instantly to the book whereas Instadebit requests an EFT from a bank account you link to your Instadebit acct and it takes a couple of days to clear the bank.

So with iDebit an NSF is not possible as they take the funds in real time. Instadebit sends an EFT request to the bank on your Instadebit profile which may not go through if there are insufficient funds in your acct.
The benefit of iDebit is that you can fund online directly from different banks while at Instadebit you can only fund from one specified bank acct.

Thank you for your inquiry. We see that your withdrawal was successfully transferred to your registered bank account. Please keep in mind that withdrawals take approximately 3-5 business days to clear through the banking network and appear in your bank account. Kindly note that you must omit weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) when counting the 5 business days.

If you still have not received your deposit, please provide a copy of your bank statement from the period of February 20-February 28, 2019 displaying your full name, account number and transaction details (amount, time and date) and we will further investigate.
Thats what they told me. I knew they were going to play that card with me. Whats the solution now? I'm gonna send it the statements, can't believe it. By the way it's been 7 business days, I don't know what shes talking about.

If the money arrived in your IDebit wallet then this isn't a Greek issue. I had an Instadebit, not IDebit, withdrawal take a couple days to arrive in my account a couple weeks ago. This came from Sports Interaction.

TD credits incoming transfers around 9PM up to 11PM ET. I would wait until 11PM ET to check for incoming transfers.

I deal frequently with instadebit/TD and they always debit/credit around that time.

If you requested withdrawal on Feb 20th, 5 business days have passed and today would be the 6th business day. So wait until 11PM ET.

                                  1- week-ends don't count as business days

2- you said the status changed to "successful" yesterday, it usually take 1 business day after that to receive the transfer. One time it took 2 business days after status changed to successful. So I wouldn't be surprise if you receive tonight or tomorrow at the very latest. Otherwise I would agree there's a problem.

P.S I'm speaking from experience with instadebit. Not sure if it's the same with iDebit.
