Canadian players: Beware of Bet365 (also looking for advice on how to proceed)
I'm not sure how Bet365 achieved an A+ rating on SBR, because my experience has been terribly difficult. I have been trying to withdraw what seems like a relatively low sum when compared to others on here (I put in $200 initially and am now trying to withdraw $501) for about 3 weeks now. I have been stuck in some enhanced verification loop that appears to be a way for the sportsbook to delay paying me for as long as possible, or at least until I give up trying.

First I had to send in a photograph of my credit card. 6 days later I had heard no response (I was told to expect a response within 48 hours), so I emailed again and was informed I needed to send in my bank account statement showing the deposit I made with Bet365. I took screenshots of my e-statement and provided it to them, clearly showing the deposit. I was then told that I needed a paper copy and that an e-statement would not suffice, and that this paper copy needed to have my address attached to it. I bank with CIBC, and after going into the branch to get this printed copy of my bank statement with my address they informed me that no such document existed (a bank statement with my address on it) and instead printed out my client information as an additional page to the bank statement. The most recent response that I have gotten says that I now need to send in a bank statement showing my last 3 months of transactions and my home address.

As far as I know there is no such document, I have already been into the bank twice now and as I thought it would help hurry this process along I also provided bet365 with an account overview page from CIBC that clearly shows my bank card number as well as my bank account number. I don't know what they are trying to accomplish with the "enhanced verification" outside of not paying out. Does anyone have any advice on how I should proceed?

Send a picture of your driver's license ( cover up the license number), also send a copy of a utility bill. If you deposited by credit card did you fill in the authorization form???

Yeah I completed the verification process initially (where I believe I uploaded my drivers license - although I rent and don't have a utility bill), and am now stuck in what they call "enhanced verification".

Cibc statements don't have address. I needed it for another situation(not sportsbook). Good part of cibc, no problem with deposits or payouts usually next day from b365. Wish i could help on how to proceed

I have never been asked for authorization form. Don't think UK books do that. The card has to match your account name

It is true that they (and other UK books) will not accept an online statement. They aren't just being difficult for you with that part.

The 3 months of statements request is generally to make sure it's an active account that you use. Not really sure how that fits in with a $200 card deposit but they should take that same CIBC printout with your account details page as well. The person who does the actual reviews will know how CIBC works even if the frontline support staff don't.

So it should get through after the hassle.

Can you really not ask CIBC to mail you a statement though? That letter will have to have an address on it somewhere.

Call them and ask them to mail you the statement. Other option, ask Bet3.65 if u can use some other bills like: car insurance, national health insurance or some other official bills that u are in possession of.

Otherwise you also could go to administrative unit or public notary and get your copy of document with address on it verified. But ask CS before u do something.

As far as i know bet365 is not a book that will steal your money. They will always pay your money and your winning as long as you did not break any of the rules with some shady business. In that regards they are A+.

But it is not a a book for long term winning bettors. If you are a long term winning bettor who is running up in the positive, they will limit you fast and eventually shut you down the markets that you hurt them. If you are doing well overall in most sports, they will shut down your account. But they will pay everything they owe.

William Hill was fine with my online statement. Although I didn't take a screenshot I saved it as a PDF and this was two years ago.

                        Update

My withdrawal request was processed. Customer service is apparently still unaware of this and is still telling me I need to go back to the bank for more documents. This process involved 29 emails back and forth between myself and bet365. I personally would not recommend them, as my experience with Bodog (again, speaking as a Canadian player, this may be region dependent) was far faster and easier. I have closed my account as I prefer hassle free withdrawals above all else.
