    Help with a matchbook issue
I put up an offer on a fight last night which i am suspicious of being accepted after the fight was over, my offer lost. Does anyone know where i can find the exact time that the Dolloway vs. Lawler fight began last night at UFC 100? My reasoning that i believe this happened is that the offer in question was a starter offer that was over 100 points lower than the going rate, Dolloway was about -260 and i put up an offer so that i would get Dolloway at -142.

If anybody has experience with past posted offers, or can tell me where to find the EXACT start time i would very much appreciate it.

    thank,

    G4H

Was it on a live betting (ie. "in running") market? If so, then another user took it if you didn't cancel it. If Matchbook is like Betfair, then at the start of a game, any unmatched offer either: (1) the offer either goes "in running", or (2) is cancelled automatically. Which of these it does depends on the rules for the particular market. If it's a market that goes "in running" then there's no such thing as past posted.

Betfair's rules are that it is the user's responsibility to cancel their unmatched offers it if they don't want it to go "in running" in a market that does so. Assuming Matchbook is the same, if it was matched (taken) in such circumstances, then it was another Matchbook user that took it, not the book itself.

[ETA: Will delete this if MB is nothing like BF!]
It was not 'live' or 'in game' it should have cancelled when fight went off, all fights went early last night so i'm pretty sure this happened. Yes i know another matchbook member took it not the book. Matchbooks procedure is you must reoffer for in game, pitching changes, etc. Thanks, what i really need is to get the info on EXACTLY when the fight went off, matchbook has told me that my wager was accepted at 7:52 which actually may not be accurate enough as the fight lasted only 52 secs. the exact info is somewhere, i just need to get my hands on it.

Matchbook cancels all offers at the start of an event, even if the event will be available for live betting. If he got past-posted, he has a case.

Try the NSAC or the UFC itself I guess. I don't know who else would have a time that MB would consider official.

Sorry for not helping It's interesting that they cancel all bets, and then everyone reposts. I'm not sure if that's better or worse than Betfair.

I hope you get it sorted out; it sounds like you might have a case against Matchbook for failing to close the market in time. I'd check their rules too - do they have any disclaimers of liability re. market closing times?

Actually Betfair's procedure is similar if you don't tick "Keep In Play" when placing the bets.

Not a clue, you might try downloading the show and working out the time that way (for your own information), but no idea where you'd get official numbers.

Your best bet would probably be to search MMA forums with play by play topics or play by play blogs and check the time stamps. It may not be an exact time though.
