why would a bookie be insisting that you placed the bet 10 mintues prior to game commencement if it already paid you out. I don't know too many bookies that set out to try and convince you that your bet was legit so they have to pay you??????????????????????????

as to your question write to the league ask for an official game commencement time then convert to relevant time zones and present the evidence to the stiff bookie

On the cev.lu website, that the game is listed at 19:00hrs on the table and when you click to see the breakdown of the game it still says 19:00hrs. The site's times match Betfair's UK times for forthcoming games. You could try info@britishvolleyball.org as that's the British side of the game and they covered it with articles.

thanks for the replies. i did check the cev website and it did show 19:00 on the statistics page but when i clicked on the live link (its is not there now) it was showing 18:00

this is hard work. I am now being told by the one bookie that the time on the euroleague website is incorrect and the game kicked off at 18:00. the problem is that I did see a time of 18:00 on the euroleagues 'live' website not long after the game finished. I am still waiting for replies to my emails from the euroleague and gb vollyball org. can anyone else shed any light on why the bookie would say the official website is wrong? they won't reveal their sources.

Maybe they want to keep your money and hope that out of frustration you'll stop with the inquiries.

Insist on seeing their source(s).
