BetOnline is trying to steal $745 from me
Unfortunately at this point I have no choice but to go public with what has happened to me. I opened the account over 3 months ago. Deposit $100 on Betonline and run it up to a $790. I decided about month ago to take a real crack at becoming a profitable online 6 Max NLHE cash player. I've played thousands of hands. Starting out I realized this is not going to be at all an "easy" or "fast" endeavour as so many bloggers, youtubers and authors would have you believe .I also find it hard to manage my emotions when I’m losing. I love money too much to do this! I chose to retire from poker. Decided to transfer back all the funds to sportbook. As a consequence of this play, I lost $45.
I got this in the mail yesterday:While reviewing your account, we noticed action against player Valdecantos. We further noticed that you are indirectly linked with this player. Please advise on your relationship with this player. As per our terms and conditions - https://www.betonline.ag/rules#poker-rules"Chip dumping is the act of purposely losing hands to specific players, with the intent to swop chips on cash tables/tournament tables/SNGs. All players involved in chip dumping will have their funds confiscated and their accounts closed and banned from playing on the network.”Please note that your account may be permanently disabled and your balance confiscated, should you be found to be in violation of the rules in future.
I've played thousands of hands, I've paid $150 in rake. Not really a cheating scenario. You know... this is nonsense!
Again, I have never chip dumped or cheated on BetOnline or any site before ever. I am more than happy and would be ecstatic to have all the hand histories reviewed by someone outside of BetOnline. I will be posting this everywhere I can and will be filing a report out with sportsbookreview also. Any suggestion would be welcomed.Chipdumping can be very harmful and a serious (even criminal) offense. Instances of this would be where it's employed for the purposes of money-laundering or emptying a hacked account. But it wasn't that at all.

So, what is your relationship to Valdecantos? If you paid $150 in rake, you must have played thousands of hands. How many of those hands did you sit with Valdecantos? Also, it becomes real obvious at 6 max NL Holdem when two guys are colluding, or they are talking on the cell phone about what cards they hold. Betonline monitors this pretty closely.

Obviously, without seeing a hand history, it is really hard to judge. But I doubt they just decided to take your money without a valid reason.

Good luck if you are indeed innocent.

Have they taken $745 from you?

Or just asked if you know this other player?

This bit, ”Please note that your account may be permanently disabled and your balance confiscated, should you be found to be in violation of the rules in future", sounds like it's just a warning.

Thanks for the reply.i don't have tools which track playing stats like Poker Tracker, Poker Office and Hold ‘Em Manager. It is difficult, to ascertain the exact number of hands.I wasn't accused of collusion. Chip dumping only. And it makes absolutely no sense.

What's your relationship to that other player? How does anybody know you aren't on private messenger telling each other your cards? That happens ALL the time. Can you prove you weren't doing that? Did you collect the refer a friend bonus and were trying to complete the rollover? How many hours did you play together? I remember I dumped several thousand dollars in chips to a friend in Canada on Black Friday when I used to play on UltimateBet. I was one of the lucky ones to get my money back..

^^^ If you have done this, trying to send some money to a friend, you'll probably be treated the same as TourLooper the first time if you just tell them. Judging by the wording of that message you posted.

If you look at any player who has played hundred of thousands of hands, you are bound to find hands that are "irrational" in someones mind. I can't tell you how many times an opponent does something unbelievably awful (calling an all in with 9 high) and I get scared I'll get accused of chip dumping. It's completely out of hand and sites should not justifiably be able to just take your money because they feel like it (steal your money). it was just a matter of time before sites started using this "chip dumping" bull**** to their advantage.
Sites should not be able to take your money unless there is OVERWHELMING evidence of malicious chip dumping. And even then I'm not so sure. What has poker come to if you can't take money from bad players. It seems today the worse the player is the more risk you take that you'll be accused of dumping. This game requires you to take the weak players money and the onus should not be on the player to avoid winning money from a bad player that makes play between the 2 players suspicious. It's just too easy of an excuse for sites to tag to players so they don't have to pay them out.

You are so smart. This was a perfect crime, but...I played thousands of hands, risked my 790 bucks... to lose 50 bucks to player Valdecantos? How will I benefit?

it seems unlikely he was chip dumping if he only dumped 1/15 of his money. no real reason to chip dump on a $100 deposit if you ran it up to $745 because you dont need to **********. were there any restrictions on you cashing out before this happened, op?

They're unlikely to be looking at hundreds of thousands of hands. They would have been alerted to this hand/session for some reason, and as they explained can see evidence of a possible link between you two.

They very probably just think you sent your friend 50 bucks and mostly want to make sure you know not to do that again, at a guess.

                                          The most I ever lost in one session\ one person was around $50 or 2 buy-ins (NL25). I am setting stop-loss at 2 buy-ins

I have no idea whether you scammed the book, chip dumped or colluded. I know little about poker. However, its amazing how many people, without facts, jump to conclusions and immediately accuse the player of cheating the book. One dude on here says over and over in different threads " stop scamming books son" He is either everyone's Daddy or has a Dad like complex. I guess some people are just miserable. Ignore them.

Reason why posters jump to say someone cheated or chip dumped etc... because out of the countless number of threads.... I don't recall any bitch post rant... that ended up in the players favor. Meaning.... they cheated.
