    Betcity.ru don´t pay me
    Hello,

i just wan´t to inform you, that this Bookie is for me not honestly.
I deposit 50€ and had luck on South Korea against Germany, was so happy because i won my Bet (950€).
I try to withdrawal and they wan´t from me my ID and also a Selfie. So i send it to them. I wait about 2-3 days and asked the Status. They asked me for a second Document, Passport + Selfie.
So i send it to them also, Passport and in good qualify a Selfie.

Now, they want me to take a Selfie with Passport and Driving Licence in both hands...what is that? What should i send next...urin sample? Do you guys have the same Experience?

I don´t believe them anymore, this is very skeptical for me that they wan´t so important documents.

it's absolutely normal for them and almost everybody send this documents. Next step I guess will be a paper with the date on it, holding next to your face or something like this. So, try to finish this standart procedure

      This is not standard

Asking someone for more documents after a primary request is BS

They should have told him what was necessary the first time

Maybe ones that want to string you along and hope you lose

Why would anyone play at places like that?

It sounds like they suspect you have purchased identity documents or are using a friend. So they try to make it difficult for you to keep getting the other person to do things for you.

The best thing you can do is respond as quickly as possible with the photo, as complaining or delaying will just make them think their suspicions are founded.

I do agree it can feel humiliating some of these type of demands, but if we choose to bet at places like Betcity sometimes you have no choice.

@Sourtwist... welcome to a preview of how regulated online betting works in many places outside USA. Will probably be not dissimilar there eventually.

You know a lot more than me, and lonnie does also. I can't imagine being strung along like that. I honestly thought that regulated online betting would be easier, and done in a more efficient way than having to wait for a payout to be verified by sending in documents more than once.

Hope you are wrong, but you're probably right.

In some places, yes. Like UK nowadays since William Hill got fined they are asking for that selfie stuff as well. But from my experience with French, Spain and German (Schleswig-Holstein) regulated online books verification is as simple and easy as it can be. Most of the times ID card, proof of address (utility bill) and a proof of payment is enough. Some books only ask for ID card. French books send a verification letter with a PIN code to your adress like bet365 does it sometimes. But that's about it pretty much.

Verification methods like OP is reporting about are typical for slow-pay/no-pay or other shady places from Russia, Curacao, Malta. Especially Russian books like to harrass winning players by asking for a selfie from this and that. This is definitely NOT a standard for landbased regulated books within the EU. I'm pretty sure those selfies would not meet EU data protection requirements.

Haven't you been asked for Selfies with your ID Lonnie?

Lots of Euro facing books ask for it.

And the UK law does allow it. If you do not get verified by public info used by an e-verification service and go for 2nd level KYC, I am pretty sure all the big name UK books have asked people for it (I may be wrong about every single one... but I think it probably is)

@Sourtwist... Lonnie is right that for 80% of us ID verification is smooth and simple in legal jurisdictions. But if you are not registered to vote at your address, dont own a house, dont have utilities in your name, live in a college dorm etc etc etc etc, then it can turn into requests like this.

Worse is when they want payslips, bank statements and proof of income and source of funds.
