Is www.virtualvegas.ws a scam sportsbook ??? Please help
I deposited 5k to bet for the Super Bowl . I really like phi hi the whole game I won 1h , 2h and wg. I made around 25k by betting crazy on parlays phi + hi. So I requested a wire withdrawal of 20k . The withdrawal manager called me and asked me to pay the tax before he process the withdrawal. He asked to pay 2200 tax for 20k withdrawal. I was tempted enough to deposit 2200 into a chase acct that he gave me on the phone. After my tax money was clear, took him a week to process 20k from my acct. he took out 20k from acct balance. He told me that it will take 48 hrs to reach my acct. I have been waiting and waiting for 3 weeks, still no money. I attempted lots of times to contact him by email but no responds until after 3 weeks he called me and told me the irs is holding my money now. He asked me to pay another 2200 for the irs to release my money. I have not heard anything like that. Is this a scam??? Please help !!

I doubt anyone here bets with them let alone has even heard of this site. Are you from USA? If you were going to bet that big why not put it on a reputable site like Heritage/Bookmaker/5Dimes/Betonline

Asking for money for "taxes" sounds like a scam.

I highly doubt you will see a cent from this site. How did you deposit with them? Not only are you out your deposit but you are also out the additional amounts you sent

I received a text from a handicapper ... he gave me 3 games to bet ... and I won all 3. He then told me he know a sportsbook called virtualvegas.ws give out 100% bonus. Super Bowl is coming , he told me if I deposit 5k into the sportsbook he can turn it into 5x more . I was in need of money to pay cc and student loan. I listened to him ... everything turned out perfectly ... after SB I got 30k in my acct. He told me to withdraw 20k and leave 10k in there he will help me win more money... then after that the nightmare begin... I fell for their trap I paid 2200 for the tax and now they asked for another 2200 to pay for irs to release my money .... All Scam ... I lost 7200 total .. BS

Is this through an agent? Who is the withdrawal manager? Sorry to say, this sounds like a complete scam.

The handicapper lead me to this sportsbook. The withdrawal manager last name is Stewart but it could be a fake name. Now I realized its totally scam.

How did you come into contact with the handicapper? He's probably connected to the book in some way...possibly in a major way. You might be talking to the same "Stewart" on both ends of this scam.

At the very least, contact a rep at your bank to see if they’re able to reverse the scammy “tax” money. You can honestly tell your bank you thought you were getting something for services rendered and you think you’re being scammed now.

Just don’t mention it’s for gambling hahaha. It’s worth a shot and might be easier since you’re dealing a US bank instead of some shady foreign one.

Also, how did you deposit the 5k initially? If it’s by CC, charge that back. I had a friend that was duped by a site but used his Chase Sapphire Reserve to deposit and he charged no it back and won. Got most of his funds returned. Obviously, I don’t promote chargebacks but in this situation, since they legit are trying to fukk you, do it.

That in itself is shady a f and shouldve sent up red flags. I know you were desperate for money but...no due diligence leads to situations exactly like this.

If you wrote a check for the "tax", I'd call your bank and file a dispute. Tell them that you paid for services that were supposed to be rendered but never received it. They might push for details but idk...maybe someone else on the forum has better experience.

You're definitely not gonna be able to recoup a penny of that 5k back though lol.

                                      I would try this.

It will at least ensure the receiving bank account is flagged or investigated.

I think you will need to be completely honest about everything with your bank to have the most chance of getting real help though.

It's the bank who is bound by laws to not transfer money for gambling, and the bookie to not offer it, that carry the penalties.
                                      .
